There I was, finally in your arms again. Everything was far from okay yet, but being embraced by your assuring words and warm arms was everything I needed in that moment. Your suits were flying around in the air above the destruction upon which we stood and all of a sudden, one by one…they exploded into the most fantastic firework.

Ever since that day when you faced the press, the day you stood up in front of the whole world and said “I am Iron Man” everyone has only seen the suit - a mask hiding the real you. They forgot all about you, Tony Stark, the man. You forgot all about you. You measured your self-worth in suits and put your well-being after theirs.

I watched as you let yourself, piece by piece, get torn down and built up by a bunch of machines. I tried to help, but I felt so hopeless. All these years, I stood by you and cared for you. You have always been an amazing person and became a brilliant man with a legacy to be proud of. Until you perished behind your greatest creation.

There are no words expressing the feeling of relief and happiness that surged through me the very moment the first suit blew up. Finally, you understood. You don’t have to hide behind your suits. No more distractions. You are Iron Man, Tony.
