I like to think Pikmin are definitely smart enough to learn to associate noises or words with different behavior, so for example in this I think of them making a very exaggerated silly “mwah” sound as an association with receiving general affection, and repeating the sound as an act of asking for attention

,, expect a lot of art like this because my new obsession is trying to imagine more Pikmin social behaviors because I feel like it, I need more art of cute pikmin interactions… for the soul…
