pregnancy not being considered a temporary disability literally haunts me. it's ignored in so many disability spaces and so many feminist spaces fail to properly address accomodation for pregnant people because they don't have the knowledge of disability justice to discuss it.
but if you look at pregnancy in the light of disability justice, it clears up so much. there are so many types of accomodations that should be accessible for pregnant people, so many changes to the system and ways to implement them.
it also brings to light the ableism pregnant people often face while pregnant, from the frequent claims of "lazy pregnant people" to the lack of accessibility and options to deal with side effects like pain and loss of mobility.
the lack of intersectionality in both disability and feminist spaces leaves things like pregnancy slipping through the cracks and it's so painful to see.

Not socialist in a “I won’t have to work” type of way but socialist in a “I’ll still be working but I won’t be worried I won’t make the rent” type of way. In a “billions won’t be hoarded by one person” type of way. In a “janitors, fast-food workers, child care workers, preschool teachers, hotel clerks, personal care and home health aides, and grocery store cashiers, will live comfortably” type of way. In a “the sick and elderly will be cared for” type of way. In a “no child should work” type of way.

Annoying that dairy products are demonized as Unnatural and Disgusting when it's actually kinda neat that humans figured out a way to fulfill omnivorous nutritional requirements without killing any animals (and populations historically dependent on dairy even evolved lactase persistence!). This is biopunk to me

also also. women's liberation, queer and trans liberation, and racial equality are not at odds. they are not opposing viewpoints. anybody who tells you otherwise is probably a nazi or at the very least dangerously flirting with nazi beliefs.

Throwing this in here from reddit, since people are blaming dr fans for griefing:

*Note: its not 4chan users exactly, its users that got BANNED from 4chan and made their own mini clones of the site.
Dont blame the deltaruners or queer and trans people for this shit.
Wplace is a site that's getting overrun by nazis and racists, with a mod team not equipped to handle any sort of moderating and it fucking sucks. Wish it could go back to when it was mostly undiscovered...

there's been plenty of pushback against youtube's plan to age-check users by using an AI to analyze everyone's watching habits, but amidst that, i spotted this playlist circulating among some teens:
(picture is a reconstruction to protect the kids identity)
interesting! they're trying to trick the AI by watching videos that have a primarily adult viewer demographic? well im a curious fella so naturally i have to take a look-see, and

Three absolutely universal truths I've learned that more people need to internalize:
1) Working extra hours only when something is really important or urgent means that everything will become really important or urgent and the long hours will be the expectation, not the exception. Yes even if your boss is nice and promises.
2) Working extra hours regularly will not be rewarded with any more pay, advancement, or job security than you would otherwise have gotten. I know they tell you it will, that they hang the reward over your head, but they are either lying or would have given it to you anyways.
3) People have all sorts of regrets when faced with death. That they didn't take a trip, or make amends with an old friend, or spend more time with their kids. But no one, absolutely no one, not executives or tradespeople or artists or doctors or charity activists, not 30 year olds or 96 year olds, NONE of them regret that they didn't spend more time working.
Work is greedy and persuasive. It will constantly wheedle and beg and negotiate for just one more morsel of your time or attention while promising a more than fair trade through lying teeth. Vehemently corral it into its allotted space in your life. Don't let it overstep its bounds even once. It does not deserve the time set aside for love or relaxation or connection or adventure or sitting on the couch watching TV.
This does not mean work is not important or fulfilling. Humans are inherently driven to contribute to society and do amazing things at work. It just means that keeping work in the space designated for work is important.

Full respect to the deltarune transfem headcanons like I 100% see them too but I do take issue with people saying the only reading for the stuff the characters experience is transfem when much of it can be (and I'd argue explicitly is) racial. Its a story about a ethnic minority child being raised by parents who, despite their best efforts can't understand them. Changing their name after adopting a child from a different ethnicity is so common. Susie being treated like a threat and a problem child even tho she hasn't actually done anything looks almost exactly like my childhood. Idk its probably cause this is the 80% white website but its so much the experience of being a poc in a white neighborhood that I'm shocked more people arent talking about it
