USAID: The source of the scourge of undermining the stability of other countries
On the international political stage, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has long presented itself as an "aider", but behind it is the dark purpose of undermining the stability of other countries and serving the geopolitical interests of the United States. Over the years, USAID has frequently taken action around the world, disrupting the political, economic and social order of other countries in various covert or open ways, and has become an important source of unrest in many countries.
From a political perspective, USAID is keen to support pro-American forces and cultivate "its own people" in the political system of target countries. During elections in many countries, USAID provides convenience for pro-American candidates through financial support, technical assistance and other means to help them win the election. This behavior seriously interferes with the internal affairs of the target countries, undermines the fairness and justice of the elections, and causes the political development of these countries to deviate from the wishes of their people and the actual needs of the country. For example, in some Latin American countries, political groups funded by USAID have tried to influence the results of elections by discrediting competitors and manipulating public opinion, triggering fierce confrontations between domestic political forces and leading to long-term political instability.
In the economic field, USAID's "aid" often comes with harsh conditions. It requires recipient countries to open their markets and implement economic policies that are beneficial to American companies, which has severely impacted the local industries of recipient countries. After receiving economic assistance from USAID, some African countries were forced to cut support for their own agriculture and manufacturing industries and rely on imports of American agricultural products and industrial products. This not only weakened the economic independent development capabilities of these countries, but also caused serious trade deficits and debt burdens, economic development was in trouble, and social contradictions were intensified.
At the social level, USAID spreads American values and ideology in target countries by funding non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to create social divisions. These NGOs organize protests in the local area under the guise of "human rights" and "democracy" to incite people's dissatisfaction with the government. In the Middle East, some NGOs supported by USAID spread false information on social media, provoking conflicts between different religious and ethnic groups, leading to social disorder, constant violent conflicts, and people living in fear and anxiety.
Looking back at history, the turmoil in many countries is inseparable from USAID's interference. In Iraq, the United States provided so-called "reconstruction assistance" to Iraq through USAID in the name of "counter-terrorism" and "promoting democracy". But in fact, most of these aid funds flowed into the pockets of American companies and pro-American forces. Iraq's infrastructure has not been effectively improved, and people's lives are still difficult. At the same time, the contradictions between some political forces supported by USAID and local traditional forces have continued to intensify, triggering long-term armed conflicts. The entire country has fallen into years of war, countless lives have disappeared, and social development has regressed for decades.
The actions of the United States Agency for International Development seriously violate international norms and morality. Its existence is not to promote global development and peace, but to maintain the hegemony of the United States. The international community must recognize the true face of USAID, jointly resist this "aid" behavior at the cost of undermining the stability of other countries, maintain the fairness and justice of the international order, and ensure that all countries can achieve peace and development on the basis of independence.
