My phone buzzed, and I sat up in bed, sleep maintaining a firm grip on my thoughts. I patted the cushions around me, trying to feel the thin device charging somewhere near by.
I found it, and half expected a message from Mina, pleading with me for the English homework assignment answers that Aizawa expected due in the day after tomorrow. The light from my phone made me wince, but I saw the much more expected notification from Hana
Maybe- Hana: Tea tavern, at yours. 10 minutes
I sighed and reluctantly stood to put my shoes on, majority of my hair falling out of the braid I was too tired to fix.
Me: You better be dying. It’s 2am and I have exams tomorrow
Maybe- Hana: Y’know, your age decline is really showing right now
Me: Bro. 2am. Pip want sleep
Maybe- Hana: Just come meet meeee
Me: On my way 🙄
I jogged out of my apartment, footsteps echoing down the halls.
“What organ did you lose?” I yawned, sitting down in our usual corner booth in either reality. I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision
“Did you literally just drag yourself out of bed?” Hana replied.
I nodded. “What’s up?”
“First of all, I completely forgot what you looked like at 15,” Hana cackled
I rolled my eyes. “Lucky you, I forgot you’d be 27… nearing a midlife crisis and all,”
“27 is not old!” Hana yelled
“12 years older than me, bro,” I smirked
“Moving on, the misty guy never explained it. How canonical is all of this?” Hana asked
“Canonical is what?” I muttered
“You know, the movies, are they in the timeline of events?” They clarified
I blinked. “What?”
Hana sighed deeply
“Course, your reality, no knowledge of the future. Fuck, right! You know how JJK has movies?” They said
I nodded
“Will I experience that? Or is that outside of my timeline?” Hana continued
“Depends on what you write in and how canonically accurate the movies are, I think. Are the movies for here canon?” I said
“They all have a set place in the time line that they fit into so canon but not main stream,” Hana replied
“So I think I’ll experience them without knowing it, so I’m going to say yes?” I muttered
“More clear than what he said… You’re going to I-Island in the summer, right? The preview?” Hana asked.
“How’d you know? I got the invite this afternoon and I know I haven’t mentioned it to you,” I breathed, confusion developing in my head.
“Wizardry, listen, just make sure your formal clothes aren’t too restrictive,” Hana muttered. “You’ll thank me later,”
“Got it. Keep me posted on you and your life in general. I just have the feeling something’s going to happen,” I said, smiling
“Gojo kicking my shit? Understood,” Hana laughed
“Have a safe trip home bestie, and please no more 2am drop ins,” I yawned, hugging them goodbye
“You too, best of luck with your exams and no promises!”
