I’m about cat width for my knitting project. At armpit’s length. I’ve been so busy with work - I reach for my knitting in my short window of time that I have free. Too many interest. I have so little time to myself. It pisses me off.

cat butt and really ugly yarn

lol. I went to Walmart and found really ugly yarn. I’m going to make an ugly vest. For the lols. I’m going to a local knit group for the first time near the end of the month and I want to look my best.

Well, here is how my knit hat turned out. I took a chance with a YouTube video I found on Pinterest. It was in a different language too. I used red heart yarn and the color was carrot 🧶. I do have another skein to where I can give it a second try. Next time I would extend the patterns 3 ends 3-4 more times. Here is the video if you want to give it a try.

I got a lot of knitting done while waiting on a car repair estimate. I’ll post what it looks like finished. Still working in doll designs and debating how big I want the doll to be.

I haven’t picked up a pair of knitting needles in a while. I found some nice multicolor wool yarn at the thrift store for cheap and decided to make a cat hat I found on Etsy. I really don’t like getting my picture taken. But, here we are.

It’s 3 am and I’m shopping for studio Ghibli stamps and stickers.

I had a wedding to go to during the weekend. I’ve been meeting up with relatives. In the more quiet moments with family, I’ve been working on an old sketch and color rendering it. It was originally a black and white image. I’ve been picking at this for a while. So, these kids are my aunts, uncle, and my mom.

The wedding was outside. I got sun burn. :(

Whoops. My last post I made an error. I need to get my impressionist artists straight. I went to the library and found a book on Monet. Monet did the hay stacks. Not Van Gogh.

I have a friend who is paying well for illustration on the side. So, it’s another task I need to do outside of work. I just want to sculpt dolls.:(

A new journal and a new book to read. I remember in my college day that I lived close to an art museum that had Van Gogh. I remember the paint being very heavy on the canvas. The world keeps turning and so do my journal pages. I’ve been working on a house project that has been taking my time up.

This is a doll I worked on in 2022. I am considering redesigning her body. But I’m satisfied with how the head turned out.

Work and spring cleaning have been taking up my time otherwise.

I wanted to do a show and tell of a Bjd sculpt that took me a year to create. I’ve had an obsession with the Soom gem Bygge doll. It was my first attempt making a Bjd. Back in 2014 I think? I collected as many images as I could to try and make my own. No, I’m not going to cast my work in resin and try to sell it. I now want to spend time making my own designs.

To the right is a recast monster I got on eBay six months ago. I was eager to see how it looked together in comparison to my home made doll. I’ve been lurking the internet to wait for someone to sell their used Bygge doll. But, until then, this is what I have. As for my lamb doll, I had a couple of plaster casts crumble on me when casting another clay version. So, when I get a day off, I’ll be playing with plaster again.

I’ve been doing some serious house cleaning and purging of things. I’m hoping to move to a spot that has more room.
