I need pb to explain what the fuck exactly happened during the time skip between OPH book 1 and OPH book 2. what tf even happened between Rafael and MC for those who picked his route. I didn’t think that their relationship was just some occasional fling that sometimes pb throws at us. It was obviously more than that. How did he end up with his “childhood sweetheart”? Why didn’t things work out for him and MC? I hope this will be elaborated at some point because it’s pretty damn important if pb want this thing they’re trying to pull to make sense, if you ask me.

Hey, do you know how old the MC is supposed to be in open heart? we know ethan’s 36..

yeah! assuming that they’re at the point of their schooling where they’re starting their residency, they’re probably about 26 in book one, though it would not be unusual for them to be a little older. however, since MC is supposed to be really smart, we can assume they completed their schooling with no issues or gap year, so MC and ethan are prob about ten years apart!
