You, the player, stumble upon a rom save on a forum with the file name “PKMN MODIFIEDCOLORS”, the poster doesn’t explain anything except that it’s a Pokemon LeafGreen save and on a specific emulator called MODDED BOY ADVANCE

You download the emulator and install a LeafGreen rom file from a different website, renaming it to be the same as the save file so it can work. it takes a bit to load, but it manages to do so nonetheless

You immediatelly notice some oddities, the stars in the gamefreak intro are black, and the Nidorino in the battle against gengar is missing

Once that scene is done, you finally get to the title screen, which, other than the leaves in the background being absent, appears to be normal

When you press start, you get taken to the continue screen

The Player's name is "Green", he has 136 pokemon in his pokedex, along with 999 hours and 59 minutes of play time, after a moment, you hit start...

The style switches...

The game seems to be more stylized than it should be, appearing in a higher resolution. The room you're in resembles the champion room from the Pokemon league, a trainer stands there in the center of the Pokeball themed tiling, facing away from you, the trainer doesn't speak...
