listen i think ive expressed my own piece and also reblogged analysis and sentiments ive agreed with on here before about y i am opposed to this from plenty of angles but the big quick thing especially is what other implication could u imagine with “final villain dany” considering what she is and what her arc has been dealing with so far that isn’t this? what would be the downfall arc and escalation here? this slippery slope shit with a character dealing w radical change & status quo upsetting & revolutionary violence to dismantle an institution like slavery is so dreadful to me. pls spare me

I do wonder why so many people see death as a form of redemption? At least for me it seems sort of a simple way to write it, or an easy way for writers to get around the real work that comes with redemption. I think it’s simple and easy to have someone sacrifice themselves and then boom REDEEMED. In reality it takes a lot of hard work and you may never be redeemed in peoples eyes and that’s fine but you have to live with that.

I think that’s more compelling to me idk.

I was thinking about redemption in asoiaf. Theon, Jaime and even the theory that Dany will cause destruction in kings landing and most of the endings that people think for them require them to die or sacrifice themselves in order to be redeemed and that just seems soo lazy to me. Granted I do think Jaime is gonna die EOS but still.

Don't put anything but water in anyone's eyes for pepper spray. Not milk. Not antacid. Pepper spray is not an acid and a base will not neutralize it. Nothing will neutralize it. You're not trying to neutralize it; you're trying to remove it. That is how an eye flush works. Just flush it out, away from the nose. It'll still hurt for a while even after it's flushed out.

Spray it from a sports bottle, like cyclists use. A nice wide stream will prevent too much concentration of force that could hurt they eye. Don't use a spray bottle. If you poke a hole in a regular bottle cap, try to make sure it's large enough for a good stream of water to push the pepper spray out of the eye.

The eyes will be squeezed shut reflexively. Don't jam your fingers into someone's eyes to open them. Instead, once you have made sure they're not wearing contacts, press your thumb against the lower edge of the browbone aka the top edge of the eye socket, above the eye, and roll your thumb to pull the eyelid up. (If they are wearing contacts, they have to take them out and throw them away. If they can't, then just guide them to safety but do not flush the eyes and do not attempt to remove the contacts yourself.)

Putting antacids, milk, etc into eyes can cause infection, trigger allergies, or scratch the cornea. Use water. It doesn't matter whether it's saline. It doesn't have to be sterile, as long as it's clean enough that it could be used as drinking water.

there’s been a really bizarre trend in the past couple years of TERFS/radfems getting pissed off about biology posts. posts about the bilateral gyandromorph cardinal (one half male, one half female), posts about older hens beginning to crow and act like roosters, posts about animals being animals. and it’s hilarious because they interpret these posts as some kind of agenda. no! these are animals not choosing any gender identity or sexuality but being born into bodies they have no control over. weird how that happens in nature huh
