Sun and Moon Headcanons

1. Sun goes by he/she/they/it pronouns and Moon goes by he/they/it pronouns.

2. Moon is terrified of any small animal (especially cats). Meanwhile, Sun is terrified of rodents, such as mice and rats (although he also hates bugs).

3. Both Sun and Moon can use sign language to communicate with deaf children and they both wear bells to help blind children locate them (canon).

4. Along with sign language, both Sun and Moon can speak and understand any language in case any guests can’t speak English.

5. Sun is actually very skilled at drawing and mostly enjoys using crayons or colored pencils. Additionally, Sun also greatly enjoys finger painting, even though it’s usually very messy (which he hates).

6. Before the glitch, Moon was extremely protective of the children and would watch over them while they slept in case they had a nightmare.

7. Before the glitch, if a child couldn’t sleep Moon would sing lullabies to them, read them bedtime stories, or make shadow puppets using his own eyes as flashlights (he would also sometimes rock them to sleep).

8. Moon loves horror movies, but Sun is terrified of anything horror related and always freaks out if he tries watching a horror movie (Moon thinks it’s hilarious).

9. Both Sun and Moon are extremely flexible, but Moon is the only one who really demonstrates this.

10. They’re both obsessed with cleanliness and order. They tend to freak out if the daycare is a mess, which happens often (probably canon).

11. Moon prefers more subdued hobbies such as listening to music or reading. Sun, on the other hand, enjoys activities such as playing children’s games or making arts and crafts.

12. They both get extremely jealous very easily and hate sharing people they like (Sun is better at hiding his jealousy than Moon is). Additionally, they’re both incredibly possessive of the people they care for, even though they don’t mean to be. This is mostly because it’s hard for them to find a true friend.

13. Sun is a pacifist and absolutely hates violence. However, he’ll still use force if he has to. Moon, on the other hand, won’t hesitate to fight or even kill someone if they pose a threat.

14. Sun secretly wants many children of his own, but knows that could never happen for more reasons than one (Moon may or may not also want a kid or two of his own).

15. Moon has a habit of watching people while they sleep, which developed due to constantly watching over kids while they slept in the daycare.

16. Their body is waterproof, but neither of them can swim. If they got in a pool they’d probably just sink to the bottom and stay there until someone comes and gets them out.

17. Sun loves arts and crafts and often makes stuff to give to the kids (and sometimes the parents) as gifts (he also makes things for the other animatronics, but they don’t usually keep them).

18. Moon loves puns, both telling puns and hearing them. Sun pretends to hate them, but he always laughs when Moon tells a pun.

19. Moon actually loves astronomy and often reads any book he can get about space. Sun, on the other hand, doesn’t have the patience to sit down and read educational books.

20. Moon prefers slower, darker songs, such as Haunted by Evanescence, Kitchen Fork by Jack Conte, Come Little Children by Hocus Pocus, etc. Meanwhile, Sun likes more upbeat songs you can dance to, such as Backyard Boy by Claire Rosinkranz, Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon, Victorious by Panic! At The Disco, etc.

21. Although Sun can act very childish he’s actually very aware and knows a lot more than he lets on. He’s incredibly observant and can easily tell what’s going on while seeming carefree at the same time. Moon, on the other hand, can be very naive while giving off the impression of being much more mature than Sun. Overall, he doesn’t always fully understand what’s going on, at least not immediately.

22. Sun and Moon have both been trained to pay close attention to people’s emotions and overall mental state (specifically for children). They can easily and quickly recognize when something’s wrong with someone and neither will give up until they figure out what the problem is (their methods of finding out the problem varies depending on the person).

23. Sun acts extremely energetic and hyper, but he’s actually constantly tired and gets worn out very easily. He hides his fatigue from the kids, but Moon knows. On the other hand, Moon tends to have a lot more energy than Sun despite always seeming tired (no one knows how this works since they both share the same battery).

24. Sun has a habit of fetching things. If someone throws something, Sun will immediately run after it and bring it back (which he often does without even realizing it).

25. Due to their programming as daycare attendants, both Sun and Moon naturally act very nurturing, especially toward people they’re familiar with. Sun mostly worries about people’s happiness and mental health and Moon mostly worries about whether or not people are taking care of themselves (such as sleeping enough). However, Moon gets embarrassed and tries to come across as uncaring.

26. Neither of the daycare attendants are allowed to swear (they literally have a speech filter that prevents them from swearing). If they hear other people swear (typically Monty), they will immediately scold them and put them in time-out out of habit.

27. It actually harms them if they fight for control. Additionally, while neither will admit it, they’re both terrified of the thought of being separated into different bodies.

28. While Sun is naturally very loud, Moon actively tries to be more quiet due to hating loud sounds (they tend to make him anxious).

29. Moon enjoys collecting things he finds around the Pizzaplex and then storing it in his and Sun’s room. Sun also enjoys collecting any arts or crafts made by the children.

30. Moon is extremely good at building cool and fun pillow forts, which he sometimes does with the kids when they can’t sleep.

31. Sun and Moon don’t often get along. They both enjoy messing with each other and they get irritated with each other very easily. However, neither would take the opportunity to separate from the other.

32. Both Sun and Moon are extremely physically affectionate toward people they like. Specifically, they both greatly enjoy hugs and picking people up like they’re pets (though they still respect when people absolutely can’t stand to be touched).

33. Sun loves how small humans are compared to him and Moon, especially kids. He also just loves tiny things in general (except rodents or bugs).

34. They stand at a height of 7’5”

35. 43. Sun loves putting on little plays for the children, even though his acting skills aren’t that great. Moon gets embarrassed and awkward when he tries to act or play pretend, but he’s really good at reading bedtime stories.

36. Sun always makes sure to be more subdued and quiet when dealing with autistic kids. He also always keeps fidget toys and weighted blankets in the daycare. Additionally, both Sun and Moon are equipped to handle kids with any illness, mental illness, or physical disability. They both make sure every child is comfortable and accommodated for, no matter what they might be struggling with.

37. Moon knows how to knit while Sun knows how to sew. Moon often makes scarves or night-caps for the kids while Sun sews the kids’ ripped clothing or stuffed animals.

38. It’s extremely easy to scare Sun. You barely have to jump out at him and he’ll freak out (and he always reacts like a grandma). Meanwhile, Moon tries to act like nothing bothers him, but it’s not too difficult to startle him, either (though he always tries to play it off).

39. Both Sun and Moon are programmed to recognize signs of abuse, especially in children. If a child shows signs of abuse, Sun and Moon will immediately contact the authorities and refuse to give the kid to their parent (Sun often has to handle these situations to stop Moon from beating the shit out of the parent).

40. Moon loves solving really difficult puzzles and riddles; he enjoys the challenge. Sun can solve puzzles, too, but he takes too long and gets bored easily.

41. Sun didn’t realize that Chica, Roxy, and Monty were trying to kill Gregory, which is why he alerted them when he kicked Gregory out of the daycare.

42. Since they’re not allowed to swear, Sun often uses ridiculous substitutes. It’s gotten to the point that the other animatronics will beg him to swear instead.

43. Moon is absolutely terrified of dolls and puppets. He’s afraid they’re secretly alive and will attack him when he least expects it.

44. Moon genuinely regrets helping Vanny by bringing children to her. Although he acts like he doesn’t care, he actually feels extremely guilty.

45. Sun and Chica are best friends. Sun loves visiting Chica’s room while the Plex is closed and just gossiping with her (mostly about Monty or rude parents).

46. Moon is good friends with DJ Music Man, although he’ll never admit that he’s actually quite intimidated by DJ’s size (he’s also terrified of Mini Music Man).

And that’s all I can think of for now! I’ll probably add onto this if I think of anymore.
