Quick apology for more delays. My actual job got really busy, and I’ve been swamped with my day job(s)

So I’d like to reach out if anyone would like to volunteer some help?

If you got basic blender skills (or any other 3D), I could use help patching some holes, smoothing some spots, & sizing some parts.

If you know how to use blender for rendering mock-up shots, that’d be awesome too. (Doesn’t have to be the same person as above!)

Also if anyone wants to help write, plan & create social media posts, that would also be awesome.

Literally anything else. If you want to help write for the characters, design merch, art, anything that helps boost Plus Dolls and fills out our "content" while I focus on actually printing & MAKING the dolls, that helps too!

I don’t have money to offer at this time, but I can offer a Plus Doll as a thank you, or anything from our Ko-Fi shop if you want something more immediate.

I’ll be making a private Discord chat and adding folks to a little team space so we can work together 💻✨ I’ve been going solo, and it’s not easy for me to admit I can’t do it alone, and really not easy to ask for help 😢 but Plus Dolls is suffering and falling behind schedule big time, so I know I’ve got to get over it and ask. It’s finally starting to warm up again, which means I’ll be able to start making dolls really soon! The resin I use is super temperature-sensitive, so winter slows things down a bit—but with spring creeping in, production can start as soon as the preorder is full.

There are just 4 dolls left in this round, and once they’re claimed, I can move on to the fun part: actually making them! 🛠️✨ If you’ve been thinking about grabbing one, now’s a great time—especially since this is the only planned chance to request a fully custom skin tone. The upcoming crowdfunding campaign will only offer 4 realistic skin tones, so if you’ve got a dream color in mind, this is the time to make it happen!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the quiet spell this past week—I’ve been deep in the very painful process of picking a winner for the contest! I’ve narrowed it down to seven finalists, and let me tell you… this has been so hard.

I won’t make any promises just yet, but I’m looking into printing a few extras to give away because this decision is seriously stressing me out (in the best way). I’ll have a final choice soon, but I just need to say—everyone who entered is ridiculously talented. I’m in awe.

my entry for the plus dolls design contest! this is my dear reanimated lady oc, mary stein salerosa. sweet, idealistic, and able to deadlift a jaw-dropping amount of weight, mary works with the mad scientists who made her to help others like her figure out who they are.

Another design for @plus-dolls design contest. When I heard about the contest, one of the first ideas that came to mind was something that was LGBT- themed. I love that the current lineup has so much diversity in it. As someone that made LGBT friendship bracelets for friends for pride last year, I wanted to incorporate that into her design to show friendship between LGBT folks. Also, some trans themed shimmer because trans in beautiful.

I'd been thinking about the @plus-dolls design contest for a while, and I kept going back and forth on what I wanted to do for it. But I think, ultimately, the doll I would most love to make if I had one of their sculpts in hand is this gal.

So, for the lovely folks over at Plus Dolls, here's the story: I wanted to create a design that pulls from some sources that are meaningful to me in the voice acting side of my life. In addition to being a doll customizer and illustrator, I am a voice actor that happens to be plus sized, so I wanted to design a doll that plays into things I associate with that part of my art. One of my favorite games of all time is Bendy and the Ink Machine, I'm in LOVE its 1930s cartoon aesthetic. Lauren Synger, the voice of Alice Angel from that game, is someone who inspires me constantly. I took a lot of inspiration from her and Adriana Caselotti, the original voice of Disney's Snow White, for crafting this look. But there's also a lot of my personal style preferences in here. I love wearing fake pearls, and I have a red dress that's not too far off from this one. The earrings are based on a pair my great grandmother had back in the 30s as well.

As a voice actress, I often worried I wouldn't fit in. You don't hear a lot of stories about plus sized or autistic actors, y'know? But as I've met more and more actors on my journey, I've discovered that I'm not alone out here. Turns out there are many of us who are not only great at the craft, but also are great people. It means a lot to me to know I'm in good company, and I want to set a good example for the future actors out there. I hope to inspire them the way my idols and colleagues have inspired me, give them a reason to keep fighting for their dreams. So of course, I want to express that in my visual art, not just my vocal art.

Cuuute!

Winter has me longing for warm summer days, so I channeled that into this entry for @plus-dolls. For this design, I wanted to give a fun fantasy skin tone and matching pigtails. She has blue eyelashes that take inspiration from superstar Barbie and Castle Licca Chan. She also has little bit of decora inspired as well to make the vibrant ensemble.

Mint is beautiful!

Long time no post! I whipped up this design entry super fast because I've been so sick and in pain literally the entire contest timeline but I made it! I didn't get to add the little accessories I wanted but if I were to win I'd customize a little wheelchair for Mint to be in and cover it in little vines and roses and maybe lilies if I could find some tiny enough. Additionally I'd do lil wings and maybe find a way to do a halo. Yes it's cringe but I am free. Then a tiny tarot deck, maybe some crystals, and a snack or two! It's important to me to see a doll that has my body type but even more so one that has my body type and is disabled. I had so many different ideas and really wanted to design one per template ar least but alas I am proud of the entry I did manage to make. Love the skin gradients!

Wanted to do something with @plus-dolls 's design contest! Would love the opportunity to work on a doll with this shape. The prize is to get one to customize into your design, so I went with things that I know I like doing and am most likely to actually do. I love decorating dolls themselves with splashes and drips of colors, creepy and colorful eyes, and giving them unnatural hair colors with curl. The base template is wearing a leotard and shoes, but nude I would put this gradient splatter on her skin along with the star tattoos.

Getting around to sewing is always my weakpoint, so her dress is simple with a poofy tulle petticoat and her default heels are used, though my ideal is stompy boots. I think it would be neat to get in her in a really non-human white, though any of her CMYK colors would be fun as a skin tone. I see so few big girls get to be the cool alternative rainbow goth alien looking sort. All the dolls I've been able to this kind of thing with have been Barbie or Monster High, so this would be exciting to make.
