I wish I could tell you there's something imminent on the horizon, but the truth is that I've started three separate DB installments over the last half a year and haven't finished any of them. At least two of them will likely remain buried in my docs forever - an abandoned ficlet about Rachel getting a second tattoo (for Callie) and a second abandoned attempt at a Pride parade.

If I ever pluck up the energy for it again, I might finally get back to the one where they finally buy a house.

I don't follow either of them but I do occasionally still check the Nazi hellhole formerly known as Twitter purely for, like, 3 accounts that refuse to switch over to to Bluesky. I happened to dip in at lunch to day and saw a couple of the old Glee mutuals post the pics.

It felt like 2010 again.

And yes, I did think of older Faberry in the DB verse.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that on tumblr fandom used to be practiced very differently. now everyone fucks off to their discords or tumblr groups to discuss everything with a select few, making tags be nearly only used for posting some finished fanworks or not at all

a decade ago people didn't have tumblr groups. people didn't even have dms. if you wanted to talk to anyone about anything you had to make a post, or send an ask (which more often than not would get published and thereby become a post in the end too)

so next time you think "I have a fandom thought but I have to find a small group of hyperspecifically like-minded people to share it with in private" remember all the freaks you could be missing out on meeting by keeping the tags dead. use tags, make friends. fuck discord.
