I was logged out of my tumblr for like a month, apparently the first episodes of mm are out, I have not watched them, but I assume Violet is still a girlboss and Watts is still being hatecrimed somehow

I’m waiting for my hot glue gun to become, well hot, so I guess I should explain how Henry is accidentally learning Russian (This is based off of me for the past two years accidentally learning Hindi).

Basically I think Watts would read a ton of Russian books from a weird bookstore or whatever that just has Russian books for some reason. Anyways Watts reads the books at work when he has nothing else to do, and George is very instersted in the books (he mainly just likes it when Watts talks about something other than work) and Watts will explain what happened in every chapter to George after he finishes a chapter. Now for where Henry fits in, basically Henry will get distracted by the sound of the flipping pages so he looks over to them and his mind will be like “haha not English” (as your mind does), and at frist he doesn’t try to figure out what’s being said, but after enough time if he’s remembered enough of the pages he saw and hears what Watts says about each chapter, he starts to piece things together. He doesn’t really realize he’s been doing this becuase it would’ve been a gradual thing, and he probably figures out he does this if Watts was gone for a day and Murdoch needed him to translate a paper but Henry can do it just very choppy, then again Russian itself can be a choppy language sometimes. Repeating word probably would be a big help to Henry too.

Murdoch Mysteries headcanons except I am leaning on a shiny car and saying hi to Henry and George Kinnies:

-Llewellyn loves cats because when he lived with Ms Young he befriended a stray cat that lived outside the building

-Off duty George calls Llewellyn Lew

-William and Llewellyn go to the Brackenrieds once a month for dinner, sometimes George goes but he forgets a lot :(

-Freddie Pink and Louise are friends, I miss Freddie

-Violet has taken in Nomi as a little sister to protect her

-Henry is accidently learning Russian, I will not elaborate, unless you ask

-Henry is always cold, George is always warm

-Not even a headcanon because dn jokes didn't exist in 1907, but bobby makes deez nuts jokes and John falls for them

-William will only drink wine like once a year if Llewellyn buys the wine

-Bobby’s gay, he never got the “I’ll accept you no matter what” speech Brackenried gave to John, he thinks his dad will hate him :(((((

-Every detective in this show is touch starved, and Brackenried

-Henry (my beloved) acts lazy and stupid when George is around because he knows everyone likes him more

-Rupert knows Aldous, how? Idk man, I just think it’d be funny, he’s also probably on a watchlist

-William and Julia bought a gold band ring for James, (no reason at all /s)

-George hates lettuce, he does like salad though, he just uses spinach 

-When Henry gets water he sometimes gets an extra cup and pretends it’s for Jackson :(((
