an undoing influence

can someone tell you what to do? you have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. if someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. you want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

@variabeautied​ asked:  “ you’re too cute when you’re embarrassed, ” kanon says, practically hanging off of uzuki’s shoulder in their lap. they aren’t even in public, really, just on a roof — not that that would truly matter to kanon, but she has enough sense to be careful testing boundaries — but uzuki’s face is still that wonderful cherry-red she adores. as if to punctuate her point, kanon presses another soft kiss (her lipgloss tastes like oranges, obviously) to the corner of their mouth, just to be a tease. / we don’t need context here. there are lesbians.

uzuki’s not sure she’ll ever get used to any of this: compliments, physical affection, having someone like kanon. she’s happy — oh, so happy — but also so easily flustered. it has their face heated so much they can hardly feel anything else, lips set into an indignant pout. “ lucky for you, you're good at embarrassing me. ” it’s delivered without any real bite to it, but with her usual pride.

and nothing’s ever tasted as sweet as her kisses, even if only delivered to tease. when uzuki speaks again, her voice is more of a whisper — an embarrassed admission, blue eyes averting off to the city below. “ lucky for us, i don’t mind when you do. ”

huh?! just what the hell’s going on here?! uzuki freezes as she sees the mass of bunnies that have apparently invaded miyashita park, her mind instantly racing. is this something she’s supposed to deal with?? or is this a problem for the realground to work out?? torn about the conclusion she reaches, they make a little sound of annoyance. this is so above their pay grade.

still, though... the one approaching her away from the others is awful cute... a sigh and she’s kneeling down, holding a hand out delicately. “ c’mere, little fella, ” she practically coos. someone else can deal with the others.

very fond of toast’s kubo being punished into being a reaper, and also tulip’s kanon surviving as some fragment of soul that becomes a noise and later becomes a reaper. big fan of anything with rindo. big fan of more shibuya reapers. would love them to not be stretched so thin someday.

i posted about uzuki’s past earlier so i want to talk about that story and its connection to her fashion, in brief:

when she became a reaper she was able to truly be herself for the first time, because, well. look at the reapers. there are no norms adhered to. there’s no dress code. there’s no judgment. there was nothing like that, so she... okay, she overindulged a little, diving into a wild and — what she, at the time and as young as she was, thought was a — sexy look. sure, looking at her manner of dress in retrospect is a little embarrassing, but she was also unabashedly herself with the strange goth - influenced fashion and jumping into loving cute things openly. uzuki wouldn’t have done that any other way, even if she definitely doesn’t own those clothes anymore.

by time neo has rolled around, she’s older and more mature and has started to really find herself without needing to over - compensate to make up for missed time, hence the settling into a business goth fashion: respectable, practical, but still with some fun elements thrown in.
