I was just doodling the other night for fun and it turned into an SU crossover because, rocks! Thanks Becky Sucrose. These are less equivalent to the characters we know in the show and more based on the positions and hierarchies listed on the impressively extensive SU wiki.

Asra: Sapphire- a rare and elite gem that can see the future! This ones pretty obvious.

Portia: Topaz- a high ranking and specially trained guard and attendant. The sunny color is perfect for her!

Nadia: Garnet- (did you know there are non-fusion garnets?! :0) deputized leaders of colonies or military commanders, considered part of gem “nobility” and answer directly to the diamond authority.

Muriel: Moss Agate- Agates are often in charge of keeping “lower” gems like amethysts in line; I felt this fit with Muriel’s gladiator background, but just like in canon verse he escaped from that role and defected from society

Julian: Zircon- a mid-ranking gem in charge of important technical work (like lawyering as we see in the show) but i headcanon other areas like specialized doctors or historians as well

Lucio: Jasper- he wants so bad to be something fancy like Pyrite but he was assigned fighter at birth. Jaspers are a type of amethyst soldier, but are considered elite and highly skilled.

I’ve been using your Arcana tutorials as a reference for a self-insert character. But I’m having trouble coloring the tulle bathrobe, the see-through cloth as well as it’s general texture. Any advice?

What luck. I literally just finished redrawing Isha’s bath sprite.

Note: I use Clip Studio Paint but this method works with any program that has layers and layer styles.

First off, some things I noticed when deconstructing how to draw them.

My Process:

Note about the bottom half: Despite being more opaque, there’s a slight gradient and transparency to it. This can be achieved by airbrushing a very light eraser on the edges of the base colour layer

As for the texture, you can use a worn paper texture on top of this colouring set to “overlay”
