At the moment, Kwan wanted to get as far away from the resort as possible. He wanted a small break, just to clear his mind for a few minutes and to relax. For the past week or so, his mind was a very cloudy place. He was starting to worry about whether or not he'd actually accomplish his dreams. And though he didn't want to admit it, he was already starting to miss his hometown that seemed like it was incredibly far away from him now. He believed the correct term to define his current mood would be 'homesick.'
After wandering, both physically and mentally, for a bit, Kwan found himself deep into a field. It took him a while to realize, but he noticed the fact that slowly there was less and less people around him. That was odd, he could have sworn he had not been walking for that long. He was about to assume he was in complete isolation, but then his dark orbs came across a girl who he could have sworn looked familiar to him. He was positive she was one of the contestants from the show. Curious about why she was so far away from the hotel as well, he decided to approach the other. "You wanted a break from the cameras as well?" he assumed.
— far gone . a&k
        she’s lain out over a patch of grass and the first thing she mutters is, “undoubtedly wilted by the season’s cold.” it sounds like an observation— except she doesn’t know whether she was speaking about herself or the greenery because at that point, the only thing remotely lively was the few people wandering the field, but even they’re reduced by subtle frost. it’s the end of the winter, after all, and she’s waiting for spring. her thin arms covered by wool sleeves folded behind her head. she lays almost comfortably as her focus remained solely on the clouds above her. she thinks here, she’s gone far enough into the field that the cameras and fellow contestants wouldn’t see her, but she’s wrong, incredibly wrong.

I was an underground rapper for a long time. I have a goal. I want to be the bridge between mainstream music and underground hiphop. They’re so busy slandering each other. As long as I can make good music, it doesn’t matter if I’m an idol or an underground rapper. - Suga

plots, plots, plots
why are you shaking up my heart? - (f) - open - kwan never found himself having romantic feelings towards another person, but for some reason this person manages to make him feel indescribable things. falling for someone feels a bit childish and dumb to kwan, especially in such a competitive environment.
cloudy daegu - (m/f) - open - daegu is a place filled with many memories for kwan. when coming to seoul for poptown, he decided on forgetting all of the memories and such he held in his hometown. instead, he lusted and desired for starting a new life in seoul as an idol. surprisingly enough, just when he believed all of those unwanted memories were disappearing, someone from his hometown and school (we can decide if the two were close or not) was also accepted by poptown.
rivals - (m/f) - open - in a world of competition, it's more than likely to stumble upon at least one person you despise. this just so happens to be the person for kwan. he's not sure why, but he just absolutely loathes this person, and he's pretty sure the feelings are mutual.

Kwan had arrived to the hotel and already gotten settled a while ago. Now, he was currently sitting on his bed, playing one of his favorite Beenzino song's on his laptop on full blast. In the boy's opinion, there was no such thing as playing your music too loud. Sure, some people may protest that it could affect your hearing, but he didn't really care much. Music sounded better this way in his opinion. Since he currently had no roommate in his room, the boy figured that he had the room to himself. He was pretty content with having his own room. He didn't have to worry about things like someone leaving a mess, and he could continue to blast his music.
His music was interrupted by the sound of footsteps coming into his room. He had forgotten about the fact he left his door somewhat open, but who would come in? Cleaning services? After pausing his music, his eyes met upon a girl who was lugging a bag along with her. She didn't seem to be wearing the hotel uniform. Was this his new roommate? He was absolutely positive that in this show, boys were roomed with boys and girls were roomed with girls. He glanced up at the camera that was placed in the corner of his room, before looking back at her. Hearing her greeting, he gave a small wave in response.
Kwan's head slightly tilted, when she interrupted her own introduction, a bit confused about why she paused. "You've seen me before, huh?" he repeated, a tint of excitement showing in the conceited grin that was plastered to his face. "I was an underground rapper before I auditioned for this show. Does the name Im Kwan ring a bell by any chance?" he questioned, wondering if the other actually listened to his music. He wasn't exactly the most popular artist out there, so he never received too much recognition from others around him. A second thought popped up in his mind. "I don't believe you got the chance to say your full name."
two's company
things were already sucking for sungah.
first—snow was involved. it was march, why were they being sent to a ski resort now? couldn’t they have sent them somewhere warm, like jeju island, or maybe even somewhere overseas like okinawa? god, this winter had sucked so bad and the last thing sungah wanted to do was live with it even longer than need be.
second—now she’d probably be stuck with some prissy ass diva drama queen with eight layers of fake eyelashes and eyeliner thicker than cleopatra wearing ten inch heels the moment she walked in. not thinking too much or really observing her surroundings, the female read her card absentmindedly before seeing the door to her room already propped open. she took a deep breath, internally praying to whatever god there was watching over her that she would have a somewhat decent roommate.
the sight of a male in front of her instantly caught her by surprise. wow—this definitely was not what she was expecting. “oh, um, hi.” she nodded her head slightly as she slipped her baggage in through the doorway. sungah lazily dropped her belongings at the foot of the bed that hadn’t already been preoccupied with bags and turned back towards him. “i wasn’t expecting to room with a guy, but that’s cool. i’m sun—” before she could even finish her own introduction, her eyes slightly widened as the face that turned to look at her instantly rang a bell in her mind. “—whoa, i’ve seen you somewhere before—”

warmth of coffee||junhee & kwan
The two underground artists knew each other through their music for a while. It started off with when one day, Kwan came across one of Junhee's songs and completely fell in love with her talent as it played on loop for hours. All it took was a click of a message complimenting her skills to start off their friendship. They kept in touch through social networks and such, the same way he did with other underground hip hop artists who lived outside of Daegu. After Poptown advertisements for auditions were pretty much everywhere, the two coincidentally both entered video auditions.
When the young boy and girl were accepted into the show, the two agreed on the fact that they had to meet up as soon as possible. And so, the two decided they would catch up at the coffee shop near the hotel.
Honestly, Kwan wasn't the type of person who opened up so quickly to others, unless it would advantage him in someway. He wanted to avoid becoming friends with the other trainees, because this was a competition after all. But could he bring himself to giving this same treatment to someone like Junhee, a person he was close to for a while? Nope.
There, he sat at a table in the coffee shop, completely huddled and engulfed in warmth due to his numerous layers of clothing and scarf that the lower half of his face hid behind, waiting for his company. He wasn't sure why, out of all the places the show could choose, they chose a cold ski resort. He despised the cold.

"Oh, hahaha! You're hilarious," he pretended to laugh along with her for a few seconds. His eyes observed her for a few seconds, before glancing over at the flag that was visible, as she wasn't looking. He wanted to make sure she didn't see that his eyes were on it, so he pretended to look away for a bit. His hand held his stomach, as he pouted slightly trying to convince the other. He had seen this tactic work in films and dramas a few times. "I'm hungry," he mumbled. That wasn't really a lie. The boy was actually quite hungry, since he had been chasing after letters and flags the whole day and had not had much time to eat. "Hey, do you like ramyun? I packed a bit too much and I'm probably never gonna finish it."
Eunhee tried to keep a straight face, but in the end she couldn’t help but laugh. “The Rhythm and Flow of Daegu, huh?” She snickered, “Is there like someone named The Song of Seoul? Or-or The Beat of Busan? Maybe all together you guys make the Symphony of South Korea.” The girl couldn’t help but laugh at her own joke even if it wasn’t that funny. She slid down against the wall and hugged her knees. “I should stop..” She nodded.

Kwan gasped at the other's words as his jaw dropped. "Did you just call The Rhythm and Flow of Daegu 'weird?' Ouch, rude," he commented, crossing his arms. "I'm a bit hurt by your words, stranger. I'm just trying to make some conversation with a person about weather and I get called 'weird.' You should apologize for your impoliteness, you know.." the boy said, finding a bit of irony in his own words.
"You’re weird."

victory flag||self para
After finding out the fact that there was only one flag left and realizing that him and his partner would have to separate and do the rest of this challenge on their own, Kwan was pretty clueless on what to do. He didn't care too much about Yongjoon behind because of his selfish personality though. He actually left the other on a rather rude note.
Skiing wasn't exactly one of the things Kwan was able to brag about. Actually, he had no experience with skiing what so ever; so this was a pretty bad decision in the first place. However, just like how he was eager to get the envelope, he was eager to get that flag. And so, he rushed to the ski lift as soon as he could from the restaurant. It was not long before he was in a seat, waiting to start his skiing. When he was able to get off of his seat, he began to ski, using the tips he had learned from the instructor he had talked to right beforehand. His heart was racing and adrenaline was flowing through his blood. He could see the flag from not far away. He tripped a few times, but he was always going to get back up, and he almost ran into a few rocks.
After a while of struggling, he managed to come closer and closer to the flag. Suddenly, someone had just swooped in right in front of him to get it. "tHAT'S NOT EVEN COOL! WHAT THE FU-" he yelled before slipping and falling.

Kwan continued to look through the lobby of the lodge, as the other was in the gift shop. When Yongjoon finally came back, Kwan's face brightened, expecting him to be holding an envelope. But there he was, empty handed. Ah, there was really no luck for them today. Kwan felt like a child who was playing in a scavenger hunt at a birthday party. He had to find it. "You can come follow along or check the ski lockers or something. I'll be at one of the restaurants," he said pointing to the dining place behind him. The male left the other and ran into the restaurant. He was pretty sure he just interrupted a few families' meals, but he could care less. He began to search under and on top of tables, when something at the corner of his eye caught his attention.

Shit shit, that was really really weird to say the least. Being carried by some guy he had barely met a half an hour or so, honestly he had like the worse luck in the world, come on he could do this just forget about it and focus on  looking for this damn envelope, he had to get this damn envelope he could do this, he WAS LEE YONGJOON HE COULD TOTALLY DO THIS FORGET ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE. Forget the cameras he could do this man. “I’m going to one of the gift shops,  uh come along I guess if you want ?” He utterted to the younger, before running off to the nearest gift shop probably not looking visual look at all, come on he could do this, don’t trip don’t you dare trip Yongjoon come on. As he entered the gift shop, he quickly beginning looking through the shelves, looking behind a random trinket, he took a breath hoping that the envelope was there.

"Nice to meet you too. Oh, piano, huh? That's cool. I always wanted to learn piano," he muttered, his words becoming more and more breathy as seconds went by. Now wasn't really a good time to make small talk anymore.
"HYUNG!" Kwan's eyes widened watching the other fall. He was pretty sure his expression would be a lot more blank right now if they weren't in the middle of challenge. He looked at the other, a bit of dilemma going on. He couldn't just leave that simply. It would only take a few more minutes to reach their destination, so they couldn't give up now. There was no time to be stopped. However it was obvious that the other was not about to get up by himself anytime soon. Grabbing the other, and tossing him over his own back, the younger grunted. "Hold on to me, hyung!" Kwan ordered, though he was a bit confused because this seemed more like something that would happen in the middle of a dramatic and romantic action movie. Yeah, he was pretty sure a variety show was about to drive him mentally insane.
Oh, Jesus Christ, this dude was pretty heavy to carry even though he looked thin. Why didn't he just choose to go by himself? Oh god, oh god, oh god. His back was going to be killing him after this. However, Kwan's persistence and stubborn personality managed to keep Kwan going. He was trying his best not to utter any curse words, knowing that there may be hidden cameras somewhere. After a few more minutes of running and struggling, he finally managed to reach the ski lodge. He put the other the second they entered the lodge. The two got a few strange looks from those around them. He pulled the other up to his feet. "You check this side. I'll check that side."
mission mail hunt||yongjoon & kwan
"Ski lodge ?" He repeated already trying to figure out where the hell was the best and fastest way to get to the ski lodge. Fuck he had spent the last day stuck up in his room honestly he should of explored the resort. Cursing very very softly knowing the cameras were following him. Hr blinked when the other gestured for him to follow him to the area, at least he didn’t need to figure it out on his own, yes yeah it would be best if he was just able to follow blindly. Yeah.  He thought as he began to run to catch up to the other, already regretting not keeping inshape since he ended high school.
 ”Oh nice to meet you Kwan-ssi ?” He said quickly, trying his best to keep his polite tone as he ran the same pace as the other. “Yeah..uh..same I’m a piano player..and ” Yongjoon paused for a moment trying to catch breath, shit they’ve only been running for a few minutes honestly. “I don’t really hit the gym a lot ?” He admitted sheepishly, as they continued to run to the ski lodge..why did they have to-ah fuck, who knew snow could be so slippery. He almost fell, oh lord thank god he didn’t really fall.
"Uh I’m Lee Yongjoon, and uh a visual I guess, an actor maybe as well ?" He explained, pausing in between to gather his breath and keep on running, he really hoped they were able to get to this place on time and find the letters. Nothing was going to stop him now..no way in he-and shit here he goes, falling sHIT THIS WAS NOT IN THE PLAN WHO KNEW HE COULD HAVE THIS MUCH BAD LUCK. Woah he felt really clumsy, he wasn’t even so sure he was allowed to look up. "I caN’T GO ON, LEAVE WITHOUT ME KWAN-AH."
