birdfolk are a race i've thrown around for a long time and are my little speculative biology playground! i only recently decided there were four species! originally there was just the one: a hypercarnivore that basically functions as a vulture, eating rotting meat and bone. and living in small communities in rocky mountains. but now there are four of them!! the four species don't interact too much because of their different environments. but when they do, things can get hectic...

akfen and hwoyep very rarely fight over territory. their environments are both usually extreme enough that wasting energy on fighting each other isn't worth it. if they meet other flocks of their own kind, they usually just trade or agree to ignore each other. hanfen will often form larger groups or challenge others for their land (although they're usually fighting over something religion-related), while shayep usually just. kill each other for it. exciting stuff!

as for interspecies stuff, shayep will be totally fine conquering hanfen, but hwoyep and akfen are a VERY different story. they usually try to make alliances with them, since shayep aren't built to live in more extreme environments (although it doesn't really stop them). their technology is usually better than their neighbors, but do you really wanna take your chances against a flock that's a foot taller than you and twice your weight and has a bite force that can shatter bone? yeah i don't think so.

adelost is an akfen, and more characters will probably be popping up in the future! stay tuned for BIRDPOSTING

this is pikkye, AKA spidermoth! they come from a universe where insects became sentient and mixed with each other like crazy and invented class warfare. pikkye is a moth/wasp/cricket mess and am upper middle class brat, who almost got eaten by a spider (all arachnids are predators and an active threat) but absorbed its venom and now they can bite people!!!! yay!!!!

this is chase, the most white boy ever, and tý, the actual real vietnamese zodiac rat that's trapped in his body (long story) and is forcing him to eat meals and touch grass. i love drawing rats!!!

i have never consumed a piece of sonic media in my life but when you start a roleplay server with your friend and they make an oc that's shadow the hedgehog and they need a rival then you gotta do what you gotta do
