I'm super stoked about the tour Set and Setting is about to go on and even more excited about the fact that I'm finally going to get to see them. Make sure to check them out on tour if you can.

From their website:
"An orchestra of the heart, a playground for the long lost sporadic thoughts of giving in or getting back. pg.lost is a Swedish band of many directions, but most of all a band throbbing with great melancholy grinding against the precious high hopes of not just individual human thinking and feeling, but also contrasts within pushing the sonic boundries of endless instrumental experiments of prolonging. pg.lost recieved a lot of press attention because of an American individual attracting a record deal by falsely using their music as his own. But then again pg.lost does have a way of sounding like a deep emotion or unresolved issues, so no wonder a fraction of us get confused, and start mistaking their music for something private."

I Am Wolves Debut EP by I Am Wolves
This band...... I just finished listening to all of their recordings on bandcamp and i'm pretty excited about what I heard. I AM WOLVES, Belgium's latest and greatest offering to the post-rock scene, are definitely a band worth checking out.

Meta Major! by Pan
Though not still together anymore, Pan left a big impact on the southeast music scene and they always put on an awesome show. They were one of those bands that I would book and they would always have a huge draw no matter what day of the week it was.
After Pan, members of the band went on to form Silver Screen Orchestra.

The Caution Children
Safe Crusades / No Judgements / And Baby by The Caution Children
Although not technically post rock, the Caution Children take many cues from the genre, following closely the path created by Envy nearly two decades ago, but like... prettier. I've had the chance to see and play alongside this band a few times and they always put on one hell of a SHOW.
Their newest album is out now and worth multiple listens.

Pilgrimage
EP by Pilgrimage
Heavy Post-Rock music from Lakeland, Florida.
Lakeland recently lost it's only decent venue to lack of funding. Please show this band your support by liking their page, or helping them out in any way you can.
On a side note, I grew up in Lakeland. It’s that kind of town that could be really awesome if people would actually give a shit about things like, I don’t know, culture?
Before Evolution (which was kind of after my time) there was the Mad Hatter, which closed for pretty much the same reason. Before that there was Dirt Star and random generator shows at places like Christina Park or Carter Road Park. Dirt Star probably ran out of cash, and the cops always shut down the shows at parks (because I doubt any 16 year old kid booking a hardcore show would give a second thought to obtaining correct permits or observing sound ordinance laws).
