Jesse Owens and Luz Long met at the 1936 olympic games. Luz helped Jesse success a jump and a friendship was born. After the O.G. where Luz and Jesse cuddled and acted nicely within each other, Luz's mother received a telegram from Hess saying that her son was noted as 'not racially conscious'. When ww2 started, Germany sent Luz fighting and he never came back. They remained friends until death separates them, and even beyond it, Jesse always talked about Luz, to not forget the good friend he had been. Their legacy is still revelant today in the media, Jesse is still seen as an important figure in the sport.

Max and Louis met at The Yankee Stadium in 1936, Max won the fight which helped the nazi propaganda prove the racial superiority they pretended. In 1938 a revenge combat was expected, Louis won which made the top nazis furious. So furious they sent him to war in the 40s even if he was beyond draft age, hopefully he survived. Max had always been against the repressive regime in Germany that time, he never wanted to be used as a propaganda tool. He said himself that he was glad he lost the 1938's revenge fight. In 1954 they met again and became good friends.
