This famine in Gaza is not a natural disaster — it is man-made, and it is killing our children.

1. The Israeli blockade has cut off access to food, clean water, and essential supplies, turning Gaza into an open-air prison where starvation spreads rapidly.

2. Deliberate obstruction of humanitarian aid prevents food and medical supplies from reaching those in desperate need — including children like my baby boy, Qais.

3. Destruction of farmland and infrastructure from relentless bombings has made it nearly impossible for families to grow or access food.

From the depths of a grieving mother’s heart, I beg you — don’t let Qais starve to death. He’s only a child, his only crime is being born in Gaza. His little body trembles in my arms as I watch him shrink before my eyes. Please don’t look away. Please don’t let him fade into silence like so many others. Mina appreciation

If you do not wish to read/see all of the emotional things I’m about to say, please take this as your warning and scroll.

I really thank God everyday for making sure Mina exists at the same time I do. I can not express how much love I hold for her, it runs deeper than just a friend. That’s my sister.

Mina came into my life in late February, when I was struggling the absolute most. I wasn’t vocal with anyone on my addictions and mental health at this time either, so I was struggling in complete silence.

When Mina and I first interacted, I didn’t think for a second we were going to become friends. But I’m forever and always grateful for that opportunity that we had to grow close and become friends.

Mina was and is exactly everything I need in my life to balance me out. She’s patient, kind, caring, loving, and extremely funny. Mina taught me that it’s okay to cry, that it’s okay to need someone sometimes. She taught me that not everything has to be a fight, that not everyone will leave me behind.

Mina wasn’t just meant to be a friend, she was meant to be a lesson. The greatest lesson I needed, she taught me how to value people, how to be gentle and kind. She took all of the years of built up hurt and anger I had, and turned it into something calm. Mina taught me that being calm is okay and needed.

My Mina also taught me that it’s okay to be emotional and break down, that I don’t have to be strong all the time. That healing inner hurt is more important than hurting myself to let others run me like a machine.

She taught me how to be myself, to love and accept myself as i am.

Mina loves the parts of me that I think are ugly, she shows extra care towards those parts of me that I think that don’t deserve to be loved. And through that, I learned how to love them too.

Mina healed me. She showed me how to grow as a person.

I will love Mina forever, not because it’s a sweet thing to say. But because she mended my heart back together. Even though it wasn’t her job to do it, she did it.

So I mean it when I say Mina is my soulmate, when she’s my other half. Because she is. She picks me up and puts me back together every single time I break.

Everyone deserves to have a Mina in their life, and I hope those who struggle find that confidant.
