Distantly, he could remember a time where this kind of information didn’t come readily to his consciousness. DO YOU LIKE WRITING LONG THREADS? DO YOU POUR YOUR HEART AND SOUL INTO LENGTH STARTERS THAT JUST GET EATEN UP BY THE TAGS? ARE YOU GUILTY OF RAMBLING?

If you answered ‘YES’ to all those questions, then this post is for you. If you answered ‘NO’, read anyway, because it might be handy dandy information.

[A while back, I made a post about the concept of this tag and if it wasn’t for @bramares, I probably wouldn’t have done anything about it. So thanks to them for pushing me to continue this idea.]

What is #indie para rp? Well, I feel like I should start by stating the main thing that it is NOT:

- #indie para rp is NOT an exclusive tag, meaning that everyone and anyone is allowed to tag their starters there. You do not have to role-play with me, follow me, or have any association with me to post your starters in this tag. It is communal.

#indie para rp is a tag for people who want to search up, respond too and write hefty starters. As much as one liners are fantastic as are snapchat starters for when you feel like something easy and quick, I’ve always felt like there needs to be a tag for when you’re searching for something medium to long in length. As the occasional paragraph gets lost in amongst all the short starters in the indie tag.

The purpose of this tag, is much like the purpose of the ‘indie smut rp’ tag, the ‘indie lesbian rp’ tag, the ‘indie gay rp’ tag (tw indie, spn indie, twd indie). In those tags you’ll find threads that are specific to their namesake, making roleplaying quicker and easier. 

Obviously this tag will move a lot slower than the ‘indie rp’ tag, as less people will post in it, especially at the beginning. But I see it as a way for your starters not to get eaten up or not seen, it gives people a chance to go into the tag and reply to things that perhaps might be a week or so old but have gotten zero notes.

Obvious if you tag your starter in the #indie para rp tag, you’d still tag it in the ‘indie rp’ and/or ‘indie smut rp’ tags, but the added #indie para rp should increase the chance of getting more notes from people that are interested in responding to lengthy starters, with lengthy replies.

THE ONLY RULE: Please don’t post in the tag if you’re going to post a one liner, or a snapchat starter, or merely a gif. This tags purpose is for paragraph starters, everyones definition of what length a paragraph is may be different, but a good chunk of writing or more should make it a-okay to tag #indie para rp.

SIDE NOTE: There are a few old threads lingering in the tag, but slowly they’ll disappear as more people post using the hashtag. 

I believe that is all, not sure if this will be a total flop, but regardless hopefully something becomes of it. Any questions feel free to message me.

“It takes a very special person to be a lawyer,” she said playfully, a teasing smile on her face. “I feel like my father has dealt with far too many, with his horse racing bets and all,” she said with a roll of her eyes. It was so much easier to chalk that up to ‘haha, Dad being Dad’ when she didn’t have to live with him anymore. “I kind of wish mine had a preference for my future profession, they mostly just wanted me to stay out of jail,” Violet said and laughed. Her soft noises of amusement were immediately arrested by another compliment from Logan, face pinkening again. “Y’r gonna end up being able t’fry an egg on my face,” she said, giving him a nose wrinkling smile as she moved up to the counter. “A medium americano please, thank you,” she murmured, turning her gaze up to Logan again.

As they moved through the line he laughed at her comment causing a slight blush move over her features. Whenever he talked about his brothr Logan was definitely proud to do so considering how humble Julian was about his talent. “Oh I’m definitely more the math and science kind of guy. Honestly both of our parents are a little upset we didn’t do something like either of them. But I would have made for a horrible lawyer that’s for certain.” When they were next in line Logan guided Violet with his hand on the small of her back. “I’ll just have black coffee and whatever this beautiful ballerina would like,” he grinned giving her a playful smile on his lips as he looked down at her.

Throwing his hands in the air, Cormac heaved a great sigh. He ran his hands through his hair, looking stymied. Never let it be said that Cormac McLaggen wasn’t dramatic. “Thai? That’s the compromise?” He let himself fall forward onto the bed next to Rolf; a felled, well dressed tree. Curling over and onto his side, Cormac could feel the buttons of his Marks and Spencer oxford pulling and adjusted accordingly. “...one more night,” he allowed, sighing a little as he reached out and ran a hand against one warm tempting thigh peeking through the tangle of bedsheets. “All this skin is making quite the argument, after all.”

“Then we’ll get Thai.” His expression was definitely not a pout, but it was almost certainly rivaling Cormac’s in sheer childish impudence. The alarming amount of lo mein they’d consumed in the last week was starting to wear on him, too, but he’d be damned if he admitted to it, especially since that meant leaving the sanctuary of his apartment. Rolf settled on his knees at the end of their - his bed, hoping the sight of him sleep-rumpled and half dressed would be enough to lure Cormac back into the warm tangle of sheets. And if not, there was always the pout. “Just one more night in, please?”
