Finished K - The First

It was a great manga adaptation of the anime, improving several things. Only problem with the adaptation was that it was really, really rushed (so first time readers would probably be quite confused). Other than that, there were actually many parts better than the anime, in terms of character reactions:

I appreciated (pfft) the gay scenes in the anime as much as the next fudanshi, but in the anime Munakata pushing Mikoto to the ground while boredly drawling something about Mikoto’s Weissman Levels was a tad bit strange. The manga managed to encapsulate Munakata’s horror as it dawns on him that Mikoto has wanted to die for a long time in just three pages was a lot more saddening with those facial expressions. 

And another thing: Yes, they actually cut back on the fanservice, thank God. Especially with Seri (and Kukuri). No more panty shots, nor awkward zoom-ins on Seri’s ass and boobs, which finally allows her to display the kind of classiness her character is meant to have:

Also, Shiro’s acting skills have gone Up To Eleven, especially with this scene I wish had been in the anime:

Shiro is freaking badass and he is awesome. 

And there are additional sad sad sad scenes like this:

Shiro’s imaginary sister looks exactly like his real one from his suppressed memories. That makes me very very sad. 

Mikoto and Anna’s relationship is beautiful and I’m glad that no adaptation so far has attempted to romanticise it into lolicon fanservice, thank god.

Scenario- Fushimi, Munakata and Mikoto end up in a genderbend universe where they met their female self's. Their reaction? How do you think their day together would go? Do you think they would have fun with one another? I find it funny lol :)

I’ve already kinda dealt with Fushimi in this situation, I think he and his female self would probably not like each other because, well, Fushimi. Maybe Fushimi gets pulled into genderbend universe along with Munakata and they both land like right in front of Fem!Fushimi who’s just like ‘of course’ because she gets hit with all the weird Strain powers too. She takes them back to headquarters and then thinks better of it too late when Fem!Munakata comes out to greet them. Cue sparkle-off between Munakata and Fem!Munakata. They probably start plotting to bring order to the world and also make all their subordinates bond with them almost immediately. The Fushimi duo just stares, clicking their tongues in unison as they realize that a tactical error has been made. Munakata and Fem!Munakata are probably totally into hanging out with each other too, like they head off to Fem!Munakata’s office and start doing puzzles together to see who can complete them the fastest (it’s a tie). Then they play some chess (also a tie) and then more puzzles (and more ties). Awashima brings them some red bean paste and both of their eyelids twitch. At some point they have an excited discussion about ninjas. Meanwhile Fushimi is hanging out in the office helping his female self yell at their subordinates, Fem!Hidaka keeps staring at him and possibly trying not to admire his ass every time he turns around. Both Fushimis working in tandem probably get loads of work done, like everyone else may as well go home because they have this covered.

Mikoto I guess gets pulled along all on his own and just lands in genderbend universe with a shrug. Maybe he does show up with Munakata and Fushimi and Fem!Fushimi doesn’t like him either, noting that he’s just as lazy and worthless as her Mikoto while keeping a safe distance. Mikoto wanders off on his own, runs into Fem!Totsuka who is totally excited by the sudden appearance of male King and wants to introduce him to everyone (Fem!Yata is torn between thinking Mikoto-san even looks cool as a guy and hiding behind a chair because scary man with man parts). Fem!Mikoto and original recipe Mikoto stare at each other a bit, then Fem!Mikoto offers him a smoke. Ten minutes later they are napping on the couch together and pretty much totally chill over the whole thing. Eventually the Munakatas show up dragging their poor Fushimis along, Mikoto gets to enjoy a Munakata lecture in stereo. Fem!Munakata notes that male Suoh seems to be just as unreasonable as the normal Suoh, Fem!Mikoto smirks and her hands start to glow red. The Fushimis sigh and go to tease Yata together.

Awashima: And me.

Hisui: Is this a joke? I will not be threatened by two ingrates.

Kusanagi: And you're not just dealing with them.

Yata: You're dealing with all of us.

Fushimi: Except me.

Yata: Except Saru.

Fushimi: I don't care what happens.
