Pretty lies take you only so far

The Houndoom Faunus tilted his head up a bit, scratching over his neck as he regarded the Weavile faunus, who, despite his pokerface, he knew was quite irritated. Could the firey dog blame his boss? One of their lead humans had been killed. Quite brutally too. And not so long ago either. It wasn't something either of them were pleased with... Michael knew who had done it, or atleast had a pretty good grip on who had done it. And Azazel had been with him when it came to his suspicion.

But they decided not to speak of it, not directly, to the one who knew both of them.

"It is a sorry thing indeed you have now lost all four of your children." spoke the albino with a velvety voice, placing a hand upon the woman's hand. Michael though that the only reason the other had not forced the answer out of her, was the mere fact that she was still of use to them. But that didn't mean either one of those boys would come out unscathed. The Houndoom Faunus would ensure that.

"It is for the best." spoke the blonde-haired, shooting Azazel a kind smile. "I know that they needed this step forward. They cannot remain at my side forever. They need to take their own steps in this world. They keep in contact with me, so the loss does not hurt as much." she added, causing the Houndoom's lips to curve upward for a second in a sneer.

He was thankful she did not see it.

"Oh, ja. I agree with you, indeed. Children grow up so quick." he spoke, shooting her a smile. "Where did you say they had gone?"

"Hoenn."

"That's such a far way from you. Is it hard?"

"Sometimes..." she admitted quietly, before giving him a smile and placing her hand upon his.

It was almost sickening how stupid she thought Azazel was. And Michael couldn't help but feel his tail lashing from side to side for a moment, eyes narrowed. They were not in Hoenn. They had found no clue at all of two Orreans having moved there.

A last chance.

"Hoenn... Wouldn't another place have been better?"

"No, no... I know someone in Hoenn, they could look after them."

Chance missed.

"Ach so...  Give them our regards." the white-haired spoke with a pleasant smile, patting her hand once before placing a kiss to her forehead.

Michael knew enough. It was time to go to Kalos. Their last lead had been there. And that was where they would find the twins, he was certain of it. His gut feeling had never been wrong before.

And they'd have to answer to the trouble they had caused for Azazel, and return that which they had stolen from the human. That which should have been theirs.
