UFN meeting!?

In her excitement and sheer bewildering awe, Kaguya had completely forgotten about anything and everything that wasn't 'Schneizel el Britannia - the married man' - including the super important full member gathering to discuss the progress of the world's rehabilitation from the recently ended war and the reign of the Britannian empire to be taking place later today that had been circled many times over in pink highlighter on her bunny calender.

But that didn't matter - there's still time for tea!

"Right, right, of course! His highness needs his beauty sleep after all! Just make sure you keep the snoring down - miss Ashford wouldn't be impressed! And I would love to meet her over some tea today. So....does this mean we get his highness Schneizel el Britannia's sacred favouite tea room? Oh, and his favourite ride to the meeting?"

Schneizel chuckled, still trailing off the momentary happiness of thinking about his wife. He continued talking to Kaguya, somewhat less tired that before…

"I would certainly enjoy discussing this further with you. Perhaps, you would even enjoy having Milly’s company as well? Regardless of what you would like to do, I would be in need of a few more hours of sleep before this coming afternoon’s meeting with the UFN!"

Then she made sure that her frustrated sigh was long and dramatic, "Also, lulu, I thought I made it clear that you are the eager one! My motives are strictly professional. "I will prove to you just how professional this endeavor is by not making any giggly mention of that prominent and absolutely adorable I-am-so-on-love-and-in-denial blush on your face!” She didn’t even smirk - Kaguya impressed even herself sometimes!

"And of course you’re not stressed now - Queen Kaguya has arrived with her royal sceptre of impossible fun aaand the promise of a Suzaku laid bare!” This time, Kaguya couldn’t help the cheeky and bubbly grin that stretched itself all the way to her eyes.

"Your childish wee commands mean nothing to me without your mask on, master lulu~" Kaguya teased him heartily. But at the mention of the late third princess of Britannia, her smile was wiped off of her face completely and replaced with a dull ache in her chest.

"That…" Kaguya tried at forcing out another grin, "has nothing to do with the situation at hand! Come help me strip him, Lelouch!”

Suzaku and princess Euphemia had been…dating?

Kaguya didn’t know. All she was aware of was the crushing weight of painful memories and heartbreaks that were only partially her own.

If you are going to undress your cousin, could you make less of a racket? Some of us are trying to work. Also, I wouldn't appreciate Nunally discovering some of your fetishes, Kaguya.

Kaguya ignored his request completely.

"Work? Why work when you can admire cute little Suzie all naked~?" she chirped in her highest singsong voice, "Besides, you’re wayyy too stressed out, Lulu~”

"And what do you mean my fetishes?” Kaguya gave the ex-prince a playfully indignant pout, “stop being so ungrateful! I mean, clearly you’re the one with the Suzaku fetish - I’m only trying to help you!”

There goes Lelouch and his infamous bad habit of projecting his own feelings on others again~

"You know, if you just wanted to join in, you could’ve just asked instead of being such a 'tsundere' about it! This queen Kaguya welcomes all with warm, open arms~!”

Ever so quietly and with the gentlest of footsteps, Kaguya crept towards the sleeping form of Lelouch. The moonlight filtered through the curtains and illuminated his pale skin with a soft glow. Mesmerised by his beauty, she did not notice the breath that she had held.

She sank her weight onto the edge of the bed so slowly that only a faint rustle was heard. Together with the pearly midnight moon, Kaguya watched the tranquil breaths and the fluttering lashes of the young man behind the mask.

“Suzaku loves you, you know?” she murmured, a soft smile touching her pink lips as her pensive gaze turned towards the inky, starlit sky.

“Thank you, Lelouch,” for Japan; no – for the whole world; for all that you have done; for the vision you have promised us; for acknowledging me; for giving me the chance to fight for what I believe in; for letting me fight beside you; for giving me hope…for just being you, and for being someone so dear to Suzaku (even if the war made him try to forget)…  “for everything.”

And, maybe because her respect and admiration for the sleeping boy before her was just that great, Kaguya left him one final ghost of a whisper;

“As long as you need me, I will remain the wife of Zero.”

It’s been a while since we can spend time like this.

"Kaguya, are you aware that it's mine and Suzaku's first wedding anniversary?"

Kaguya drew in her breath and her olive-green eyes lit up instantly.

"Th-That’s amazing! I mean, I knew it was around this month but I wasn’t sure of the date and I’ve lost track of everything having been so busy recently but oh my goodness that’s beautiful,” her smile was so bright and she was so thrilled and giddy with excitement that she could barely catch herself from rambling, “congratulations, Lelouch! That’s absolutely wonderful!”

As Kaguya calmed down, her heart swelled in her chest and warmth flooded through her being; although it was their special day, her cousin-in-law cared enough to share it with her. To him, she was family, and that thought alone nearly brought childishly overjoyed tears to her eyes.

Instead, she turned to him and her olive-green eyes were simply radiant as a warm, sweet smile graced her lips. “Thank you for telling me, Lelouch - it means so much.”

Then she decided to end the moment as she gasped with her fingers splayed over her pink mouth and her olive-green opened very wide.

"What are you still doing here with me? Now shoo, no more chitchat; my dork cousin awaits! Have a beautifully marvelous anniversary and you can bet I’ll be asking you all about it after! Run along now, Lu~”

She had questions, but now was definitely not the time!

That was the only coherent sound she could make as Kaguya's mind was slammed into a mental wall. Was this man claiming to be...hundreds of years old?

She followed his gaze towards the telephone box. Why was the cloaked man even looking for a telephone box?

Perhaps she wasn't in sane safe company..?

"Um, may I ask what it is that you found, sir?"

The Rogue saw the young woman and raised his eyebrow. "Hello....who are you?" He asked.

Kaguya hadn’t noticed that she had been staring and thus she was quite taken aback.

"Oh! I’m sorry, sir - I was rather enthralled by your appearance!" Kaguya broke into a charming, childlike grin - the man was handsome, but there was also something that seemed…unusual about him. Different.

"I’m Kaguya Sumeragi. Please, call me Kaguya. May I ask of your name, esteemed sea-green-eyed sir?"
