This is going to be a little homage to the late PrisonProcess. He loved to tell stories, and so I am going to tell one today.

This is Michael James Allison. He is an engineering major at the University of Mississippi in Tupelo. It is 1939. He is 19 years old, has a dorm roommate named Ethan, and his girlfriend's name is Sarah.

When Michael walked into his dorm room after classes his life changed forever. He found Ethan having sex with Sarah. He felt his temper flare.

At first he just walked away. He walked to a local bar and had a beer. He told the bartender what happened. The problem was he used words like "......if i see that son of a bitch again I will kill him"! 12 hours later Ethan was found dead in the woods behind the dorms. Michael was arrested a short time later.

Michael spent nearly a year in jail before his trial began.

The guilty verdict was never in question. Michael's lawyer however had worked hard to avoid the death penalty. In the end, Judge Homer Wilson pronounced:

Michael James Allison, I sentence you to the term of Natural Life at Hard Labor. You will be remanded by the Sheriff to the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. You will remain there until the day you die with no respite or parole.

Michael was almost immediately taken in his jail overalls to a prison van filled with other convicts. The drive was terrifying as the Parchman Prison approached.

After intake, Michael was head shaved and uniformed. His mugshot shots were taken.

The next morning 31004 found himself laying asphalt on a prison road.

By the time he and his cellmate got back to their cell, they could barely stand.

Michael was never released.
