Emergency: I'm scared that I'll lose my dad to cancer, and I need help!!!

Friday, August 22nd: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and multiple disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I need assistance in covering travel expenses to visit my dad.

I regret needing to ask for help at such a difficult time for many, and I understand this is a long shot, but I’m hoping someone out there can lend a hand to my family and me.

Last Friday (August 15th), I received a call from the hospital following some check-ups my dad had due to a persistent cough he's had for some time. Unfortunately, they found cancer in his throat. We’re still in shock and are faced with tough choices: chemotherapy or a laryngectomy (removal of the voice box).

He has been back and forth to The Royal London Hospital this week for tests and scans, today he had his blood taken along with a CT scan. Thankfully, they have said that as long as the cancer hasn't spread to other parts of his body, then the best option for survival is to undergo the laryngectomy which he has an appointment to go in for on Tuesday, September 2nd. (waiting for the hospital letter for this)

If everything goes well, he will spend 1 month in the hospital after the operation to recover and get accustomed to breathing, eating and communicating without his voice and through a stoma.

Currently, my sister is looking after him. And I've booked my ticket to visit on the 28th; however, we don't have any means of returning home, as we could only afford one-way tickets. It is £167 for a return trip, and we'll also need funds for an Uber/public transport.

Altogether, I'm hoping to raise £200. (previous funds have gone to help my dad get to and from the hospital for his tests)

My sister and I are disabled and depend on welfare, and our dad is living on a pension. We simply can’t afford this on our own, so any help would mean the world to us.

I know this is a big ask, but if anyone could spare even a small amount—just £1, $1, or €1—it would make a truly significant difference. And sharing this message would help just as much.

Wednesday, July 23rd: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and multiple disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I'm drowning in debt and struggling to pay my bills!!

I apologise for asking for help again, but as most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot recently to make ends meet due to my rent arrears and outstanding debt, which keeps building up every month as I am unable to clear it.

To be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

I desperately need that kindness again, as I have been avoiding creditor calls and red notices to such an extent that my debt has grown to the point where I can no longer repay it on my own, leaving me in desperate need of assistance. I currently owe £237.33 in credit card/overlimit fees, which I cannot pay off with the limited welfare I receive on the 31st!!

Monday, July 14th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and multiple disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I am struggling to pay my bills and keep my utilities on!!

I apologise for asking for help again, but as most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot recently to make ends meet due to my rent arrears and outstanding debt, which keeps building up every month as I am unable to clear it.

I apologise for asking for help again. As most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. And due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to get by. sadly, the Forge World resin Death Korps range is now finally dead

I was admittedly flummoxed by the announcement that the forthcoming Eldar update would round our the remaining Aspect Warriors and Phoenix Lords when that seemed like exactly the kind of specialist unit that you'd want to use to sell Kill Team sets, but sure enough that is exactly what Games Workshop is poised to do.

We've already seen the spicy elf so the rest of his boys aren't much of a surprise. All of these kits have been incredibly faithful to the 2nd Edition sculpts and that remains the case with all three of the Aspects revealed today.

Swooping Hawks have probably benefitted the most from their long delay as the production team learned how best to make "in-flight" poses work for miniature that are very much subject to the laws of gravity. I have already heard some early grousing that people don't like the Asuryani ruins they're posed atop, and to those people I say get good at basing – there is literally nothing stopping you from pinning them to the battlefield detritus of your choice.

Warp Spiders are probably the most changed of the lot, if only because the switch to plastic enables the model to more accurately represent what it was trying to depict in the first place. It does a fantastic job of unscrunching the tiny, hunchbacked pewter models that were limited by the realities of centrifugal casting molten lead.

And of course, Phoenix Lords including for the first time Lhykis the Whispering Web, Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders. This has been a hole in the Eldar range since the '90s, so hopefully they make her introduction interesting in the codex.
