How do people not understand this yet

i’m starting to realize the “friendship where we bully each other” thing is a complicated subject for me, because as a survivor of bullying and my interests being mocked for basically my entire life, i don’t really find it funny or endearing when pals do it. i don’t mind gentle insults and inside jokes, but idk, there has to be a point where you go “maybe i shouldn’t cut on my friend’s new oc or special interest” and stop yourself. i think we should all try a little harder to know that boundary and not put our friends in those situations

Lots of people think the opposite of patriarchal messaging is "actually, men are bad and women are good"

When in reality, the opposite of patriarchal messaging is "there is no immutable difference between a man and a woman and no trait belongs only to one group or the other. Goodness or badness is entirely individual and not tied to gender in any meaningful way"

me at age 10: school is LITERALLY a prison. they keep us here for hours and dont let us eat or use the bathroom unless we ask. and we're forced to do dumb unnecessary work and we can't leave. this sucks

me at age 15: that was a little dramatic i think i mean it wasn't that bad

me at age 20: actually 10 year old me was right the way they treated us was incredibly inhumane for no fucking reason

hello friends!! i am so sorry to post here and i am beyond embarassed to even post this but i thought i'd shoot my shot.

i visited an eye doctor twice this month and unfortunately, the antibiotics are not working so i will have to go through minor eye surgery. the worst part? i am faced with the option of self pay for $400 or waiting a month to use my insurance while also paying $2,382 that will go to the deductible.

the total cost of the surgery alone is $400 so any contribution you can make, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. i understand that this may not be a priority for everyone, and I completely understand if you are not able to contribute.

sorry but I am officially a joel miller apologist. the fireflies knock him out & as soon as he regains consciousness marlene breaks the news to him that ‘yah sorry you’re never going to see your daughter again bc the surgery is lethal. but here’s her knife as a keep sake <3′ i’m sorry marlene but u thought that was going to go over well? you thought the insanely dangerous and firearm proficient man was who obviously bonded to ellie was going to go calmly? she should have sent ten men to escort him out. thirty. she should have just shot him in the head while he was unconscious. but of course she underestimated how much he cared. what he would do for ellie. bc she knew mean gruff self serving survivalist joel not father joel. she didn’t even let joel and ellie say goodbye to each other. was planning on killing ellie without even telling her for an experimental procedure they had no proof would work. didn’t even give joel the option to see her one last time. “would u kill 1 person to save 100?” they didn’t even allow a fourteen year old the agency to answer that question. team joel
