Business of Film: Mastery Journal (Final Class)
Being in the Business of film class is a very excited. This is not only my last class of the Master’s Degree but also because of how good it is so far. I’ve learned a lot in this class. And the teacher has taught great and fantastic things about the business of film as well as pitching our ideas. For example, he shows us how movies can become a box office success like Wonder Woman or Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and shows us how to pitch a movie or TV idea. Sometimes I wish that this class was a bit longer in my opinion. Cause I’m going to miss Full Sail. I met a lot of friends and had a great mentor that helped me apply for an internship when I thought I was going to turn late. But I succeeded and turned it in on time.
Being a part of this class has really shown me to not be afraid to fail in life. Cause it will help you get stronger and you can be able to learn from it. He taught us how to pitch with excitement that way it can make the people I’m pitching to excited and drawn to the story. But not too much. Being a part of this class is one of the best classes that I have taken so far because it inspired me to write and create more stories, even if I stay here in Florida, or go to a different location. I love Full Sail and Florida. It’s my second home because for four years I’ve created so many stories and had so many memories that I will never forget. It was truly an honor being a part of the Master’s program as well as being a part of Winter Park. Thanks for the memories.

Post Production (Mastery Journal)
Being in the Post-Production class was little bit interesting. I love the fact that I got a chance to be a part of a class that I really didn’t think that I would be this difficult to have but it was in a good way. Probley because of spring break.
At first, I didn’t like the class because of AVID. The program was very tough to use and it was not at all as fun as it was supposed to be. I was always a big fan of IMovie because of the fact it was the only app that I could use. And I’ve never used any others. So, using this program for the first time was difficult but in the end; I kind of gotten the hang of it. Being in this class was very interesting when it comes to the presentations. Watching great and inspiring movies like Side by Side, Social Network, and Star Wars Rouge One. Both great films that knows how to make the filmmakers feel like being in film school in the first place so that we can learn how to edit great movies, using the right tools like AVID, Premiere Pro, or Sony Vegas, and trying to use color correction like Black magic to make a great movie.
The workflows were kind of challenging at first because I didn’t even know what it is at first. But when I got a chance to work on it early. I learned a lot from it. For example, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings’ director Peter Jackson uses Arricam St, Arriflex 435, and Arriflex 535 in 35 mm. And for my future film Stone of Vendetta, a fantasy movie where I want to also use Arricam St, Arriflex 435, and Arriflex 535, or IMAX camera. Lastly, I love the class because of the dub stage. The dub stage is a very wonderful place where you can see your film on the big screen. And I really love it because it inspires me to think that one day I can be able to watch my film on the big screen. In conclusion, Post-Production class was an interesting and inspiring class.

Mastery Journal (Production)
During the days I was in the Production class. I was very excited and happy to be a part of the class. Because of the fact that I can be the continuity person for the Script Supervisor and see a very funny script come to life. So, I was intrigued in the class.
During the first and second week of class; it was kind of boring at first cause of the fact that we were getting ready for the production for the third week. Out of the two weeks the best thing was our ever first production meeting with the whole crew. Man seeing everyone’s faces, and them being very excited about the project and actually wanted to be a part of it. It was truly amazing and inspiring to see everyone fired up and ready to help my classmate and a good friend of mine with his project. And to myself I was thinking that we were all going to have a good time, and go with the expectation of going to set and working very fast and quick. But that wasn’t the case.
I should have known that mostly, projects don’t go well on the first day. People that were a part of the PA’s didn’t know if they were Grips or Art. The sound wasn’t working which caused us to stay in the cold for a long time. Even though the director didn’t get what he wanted, at least we got the shots. Even though we had to take off a few wish list. Within the next three days, it was wonderful. The director got some good shots, all of the crew worked together as a family. And I loved the fact that the director said that we were his “Dream Team” which was really awesome to be a part of.
Even though I won’t be on the credit at the end of the film as Script Supervisor, but I thank god for the experience and that is better than anything else in the world. In conclusion, I loved the production class.

Pre-Production Mastery Journal
Being in Pre-Production class with Van once again is very interesting. And the reason why is because of the Hall of Fame, and about to be in production very soon. As usual Van was a fantastic teacher that gives us time to work together as a group that way we can be able to become a crew that can be on point rather than be upset with one another. With the homework, I didn’t like as much to be honest because of how long it was, also I didn’t know anything about Call Sheets, Lined Script, Scene Breakdown, and AD 1st Schedule. I was told by the great Larry D. Katz, Hollywood actually has those things.
With all of the hard work that I and the team went through, we had a week off so that we can go to the Hall of Fame, also try to get on a movie set for experience, and work on the Pre- Vision. I love and hated the Hall of Fame. I love the Hall of Fame because of the terrific panels including the screening of Arsenal, Life in the Production, and the Game of Thrones panel. I met a lot of awesome people, and got a chance to hang out with my friends. It was a win for me. With the hate part, I love writing when I don’t have anything to do. With the Hall of Fame going on, I love to write because it inspires and gives me a lot of ideas in just four days.
But every time I write, something always gets in the way. I didn’t have a problem with it at first but, when it kept going on and on. I got annoyed. But at least I got a chance to write after I was finished hanging out with some good friends or going to the panels. Being on a movie set was awesome. I got a chance to see what were they doing and also do some research about being a script supervisor. In conclusion, the month was great and it was great to be a part of the Hall of Fame then be in a boring house.

Mastery Journal Entertainment and Communications Law (ECL)
Being in class with Davey is one of the best class that I have ever taken, besides Jennie’s. The teacher is interesting and talks to the class with excitement. It was a great experience being a part of this awesome class that should have been the first class of the Film Master’s Degree. So, that way we can be able to know about Copyright, Fair Use, Trademarks, and Patens when it comes to making shorts here at Full Sail. As we had the class on the first month, we can be fully prepared, and understand what not to do when it comes to filmmaking.
At first it was kind of interesting being in her class. Cause I get to learn about laws that I really needed to know. For example, copyright. Before taking this class, I was writing a feature length film and finished the script. But I wanted to find ways to protect my script that way no one can take my idea from the script. When I learned about copyright, I found ways to protect my script. I can either go to the copyright office and pay a fee to put the copyright on my script, or pay a fee to put it in the WGAW (Writers’ Guild of America, West).
The best thing of the class, was pretending to be a lawyer. Me and my partner was pretend lawyers, defending Shepard Fairey for being accused by the Associated Press for copyright infringement for using one of its photographs as the reference of the former President of the United States Barack Obama’s Hope Poster. Myself and my fantastic partner (In my opinion), stole the show. Everything that my friends (who were against Shepard Fairey), talked about was on our slides. It was a great experience to not only win, but be apart of it.
In conclusion, I learned a lot in this class and the teacher is one of the best that it was truly an honor to be in class with them.

Grace Kelly, Actress December 01 - Favorite Grace movie - costume
To Catch a Thief. I took this to mean my favorite Grace movie for the whole costume lineup overall - is that right? That in itself is so difficult, but I think my favorite Grace costume of all time is the Blue Chiffon from TCAT, so my mind immediately went there.
Sorry for the mismatched gifs, and thank you and apologies to dosesofgrace and yocalio for stealing them!
