In recent weeks its been brought to my attention that Proper East has been getting a fair bit of attention, mainly from the bootleg fraternity. Unconfirmed reports are suggesting that Proper East shirts in the famous claret and blue of West Ham Utd are being sold opposite the main entrance of the Boleyn Ground. Although I do not in any way endorse these bootleg t-shirts and gain absolutely no royalties from their sale, as a follower of West Ham I do take it as a huge compliment. Since this story has come to light it now appears that outside the ground of Tottenham an enterprising plagiarist has decided to start selling 'Proper Norf' t-shirts to fans of Spurs, the arch rivals of West Ham. These counterfeits are identical in branding to the original Proper East T's. Taking the West Ham copies as a compliment I cannot extend that same sentiment toward the 'Proper Norf' copies for two reasons. 1. The only part of London that can be deemed proper is East London. North , South, and West will never be able to truly call themselves proper. 2. Being a follower of West Ham I couldn't, in a million years, endorse such a misjudgement. I will say by all means buy a claret and blue Proper East t, equally if you want to buy an original black or white from Proper East go to www.propereast.com. And to any Tottenham fan that decides to buy a 'Proper Norf' t-shirt do it in the knowledge it was designed by a follower of West ham Utd. http://ift.tt/1dYDXTa
