How do you deal with sorrow? When the reflection is too real, the essence of being embodied is a quaking wave breaking . No filter on either. Just some herb porn! If you didn't know, I really enjoy connecting with the plants as a resource for healing + centering . They have taken me through the toughest of times . Literally with the power to nurture + destroy . When the body or mind cannot heal itself without help, nature absolutely can play a massive role in pivoting . That's what spring is all about, renewal, adjusting . The planet reflects that willingness to assist in each bud, stem, leaf, even if the plant only wants to be seen, not plucked . Did you know how any weed might really be a powerful ally in a medical emergency? Or in a mental crisis? Or as a contraceptive? . Medicine is genuinely growing from the cracks between the sidewalk . When you see it that way...the whole world opens up. . . . . I'm ever so slowly starting to more consistently digitally share these passions with the plant allies. Usually it's more word of mouth or my friends just knowing who has the lavender lol but I've actually opened up an Etsy. Despite my resistance to online marketing I'm just happy to create a little portal for some goodness + realness among those who cross paths! Some juicy thoughts lately. Seeing a lot of division mentality in these trying times, though that’s not gonna support anyone - especially whoever dishes out dissonance. Truthfully, ancestral healing is about reclamation, not property. Especially our bodies, which we have been oh so conditioned to see as an object or something to own. It all goes back to the dirt anyway! So ancestral healing is not just so we can be better or “more healed” as individuals, it’s about embodying resolution of genetic conflict within ourselves. That way we may empower others too. Those who came before us that now make up our soul, are alongside us now, or will follow our presence here. We heal for the collective! Honestly, that means more than just our direct or apparent lineages or preferences as well. When we step into this role (& out of the savior/saved complex), we are sending healing to all versions of us, plus EVERYONE in our family line - the rapists just as much as the mystics - along with those who interface with our lineage, & the lands we traversed, & the people our ancestors hurt, & the people our ancestors helped, & anyone who we may interact with in an air of intimacy...do you see how broad of a span this work has? ALL PERMEATING. Not everyone is gonna dig that it really does dissolve barriers, maybe because of their own internalizations or facets still left out, waiting to be claimed & given kindness. Maybe for other reasons. Who knows. But it is specifically because of the broadness of ancestral healing work that we NEED to get into the nuances! Oppression I have been through or that my ancestors were, will be different than you & yours. The TYPES or TARGETS of trauma applied may be different, even if they are parallel. It is both important to bridge empathy between different kinds & to focus on how each has its own implications, so erasure doesn’t occur. To acknowledge the sameness & difference simultaneously is the core of unity consciousness. Everyone has the right to disengage from violation or violence: though confronting with compassion its influence within ourselves, our backgrounds, is the crux of recovery. . A digital ovation to my dear friend Israel. The documentary covering their activism work was just published on YouTube! “Activist Speak” was directed by Gilberto Gonzales & features the past few years’ worth of the movement to support Puerto Rico. PR has been impacted by numerous natural disasters & political injustices to this day. Did you know that still nobody in PR has gotten their stimulus checks, despite being part of the present Turtle Island (USA) currency network? It’s one of many examples as to why our advocacy is called upon. To my knowledge - never taken an ancestry test - I am not Puerto Rican, though have been repeatedly backing this cause since 2017 through art & music. These pictures are a small glimpse into that timeline. The first is at a 2018 gig Israel had me perform at in honor of the movement, in the documentary (link in bio/below) you can see a snippet of that set at 10:32. In the video there’s also a few clips from the second annual @sacredpokes for PR event, I organized in solidarity. The second & third, were taken at the grand opening of @anthornaarts in May 2018, which was probably one of my favorite events I’ve ever put on. The room was so filled with love, with a whole day centered around the creative community dedicating to spread awareness for Puerto Rico’s need to be heard. Number four is Israel speaking at the aforementioned Sacred Pokes benefit, held at @beverlysphilly in 2019. The last one was a performance at @firephilly Israel coordinated with @phillyboricuas, one of the largest PR benefits I’ve had the honor to attend. There is a HUGE Philadelphian population of PR descendants who make up much of our artistic vein, bringing in an unmatched spirit of determined strength. {work i n progress...} Things are slowing down, changing, transmuting. One major aspect of this art I’ve come to see more clearly as of late, would be recalibration of sacred geometry. There are so many types of formulas out there & the actual mathematics that go into them are often looked over for aesthetic purpose. New Age spirituality tends to contribute to colonization or distortions due to this habit. The line between sacred geometry as an untapped source & it as a propagandist presentation are in the definitions of Krystic (active light) or Metatronic (dead or still light) formulæ. Some of you may have heard me say I won’t tattoo certain geometries & this is the reason. Many shapes seen as sacred are actually the shadow projections of the actual “life math” itself - I’m always happy to share more resources on this so just message me. For now I wanted to share where I’m at with you all as a creator. These photos are outlines, beginnings of more intricate, corrected templates I’m creating. The purpose of them will be to design other imprints off of, giving them all an extra charge & bio-geometrically correct correspondence. Which, will further allow the piece to flow with the body. I’m very excited to share with you the things I’ve been gestating - slowly but surely. The BIGGEST applause to any disabled or systemically oppressed person who continues to persist in the face of challenge for freedom, liberation & positive change. Transformative justice is not exclusionary. One pattern I continue to see as a spirit worker amongst my peers is one of “once you transcend you are above worrying about these things, you need to stop limiting yourself due to [insert very life impacting subject here] so you can ascend to a five dimensional reality from a third dimensional one.” This is extremely disrespectful not to mention a dehumanizing way of thinking. People need ADVOCACY, not judgement on their capacity to do as you project that they “should.” We are going through a mass recalibration of how we see productivity right now, which is messed up it’s taken this to get to that point, however we have really needed to take a look at our disproportionate priorities of hustling over really living. As we do this I hope it becomes more apparent how less able bodied folks & those who have been impacted by prejudice or systemic neglect have been pulling an incredible weight of activism for some time now. Spirituality is not complete without activism as we currently live in a time of warfare of ALL kinds, not solely militarized. Those who have been targets of this warfare have an incredible amount of strength due to the sheer complex capacity to learn how to survive & adapt. We also are typically the first groups to partake in direct action, which calls for various methodological approaches - applicable by all abilities of people. Everyone is equal, only we have different calibrations of talent or energy. This goes for all beings. To covertly deny this with putting one type of person on a pedestal over another, is to reject this core principle of beingness. One cannot fully access a multidimensional reality while resisting embracing the spectrum that life exists on. One cannot claim to appreciate all life but have intolerance based on internalized bias.
