Play with games +4GB
As you should know, Playstation 3 HD is FAT32, yes its old, introduced in Windows 95 for the first time. This limitation is the same for external USB HD´s.
For those who dont know, FAT32 only supports files smaller than 4Gb. Some games, not all, may have some files that are bigger in size. So, in this cases, what can we do?
Easy, as always, boys...
Load those games from the internal HD, just because its imposible to do it from your USB HD.
Get a PS3 game with files bigger than 4GB, put it in and load your fav loader, Open Manager, Rogero Manager, multiMAN...in the menu you should be able to download the game to the internal HD.
But, what if we have downloaded a backup game?
Opensplit v1.2
Opensplit splits files bigger than 4GB. Those splitted files can be transfered easily from your FAT32 External USB HD to your internal FAT32 PS3 HD. Your game loader do this by unsplitting them in your internal HD.
Instructions:
1 Splitting files
Select "Split BIG files to .666xx" and choose your game folder.
Opensplit will search for +4GB files and split them in .666xx files, ready to be transfered with multiMAN, Open Manager, Rogero, etc...
When done you should have a copy of your game folder but renamed like this:
"BCESXXX" -> "_BCESXXX"
2 Joining files
Select "Merge .666xx files to BIG" and choose your backup folder.
Opensplit will search for ".666xx" files joining them into +4GB files.
NOTE: Not use this tool in FAT32 HDs
Mark "Don't delete splitted BIG / merged .666xx files" option if you want to keep your backup undeleted.

Waninkoko 3.55 V2 & Kmeaw 3.55 Tutorial
Installing a CFW in our PS3 is dead easy...in 4 easy steps we are going to learn how to play our back-up games.
Compatible with all PS3 models.
STEP 1 Installing Official Firmware
Regardless you install Waninkoko 3.55 V2 or Kmeaw 3.55, the first step is to download and install 3.55 Official Firmware, if you already have OF 3.55 installed in your PS3 skip this step.
Download OF 3.55
Once downloaded we are going to need a USB memory FAT32 previously formatted. In that USB make the following rute:
X:\PS3/UPDATE/
With our USB ready the next step is to put your PS3 in Recovery Mode:
Turn off PS3, hold Power button until it shut down again, release and press again Power button, you will hear the normal bip, another bip and finaly 2 more bips, just after those 2 bips we release Power button. Our PS3 is now in Recovery Mode.
Plug in the USB memory, select option 6, System Update
Once finished your PS3 will be updated with 3.55 Original Firmware.
NOTE: If you cant get this step done, please make sure you put the files in the right rute and use a modern USB memory.
STEP 2 Installing 3.55 Custom Firmware
First of all you have to choose the firmware to install:
Waninkoko 3.55 v2
Kmeaw 3.55
To install them you have to repeat step 1, please make sure to format your USB memory in FAT32 and place the custom firmware in the following rute:
X:\PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
NOTE: The name of the custom firmware is PS3UPDAT.PUP always!! Rename it if necessary.
We are ready to install 3.55 Custom Firmware in our PS3 system, Go to Recovery Mode and install it like in first step.
STEP 3 Installing Tools
To play back-up games in our CFW PS3 we have to install the loader we want:
Multiman 2.03.00
Rogero Manager 8.3.0
Install them in the USB in the following rute: (USB root)
X:\yourloader.pkg
Plug your USB memory in PS3, go to Game Menu, select "install packages files" folder and finally install it.
NOTE: If you cant get to this point because of an 8xxxxxx error or the PS3 system does not recognize the USB memory, please be sure to do it with a modern USB, some old ones cant reach the performance of certain applications.
STEP 4 Back up Instalation
Each backup manager has it own way but with the same functions in all of them.
You can install your PS3 game in the internal PS3 HD or in a external USB HD.
Please notice that the external HD has to be FAT32 format and games placed in:
