You can never tell me any woman removes her body hair "for herself". The pressure to remove your hair begins the instant it starts to grow. I was made fun of for my arm hair in the SECOND GRADE. I was eight years old. Luckily I was a weirdo and I thought the nickname "human werewolf" was really cool, but the point stands that my peers, who were also eight years old, already had internalized and were expressing that body hair on girls was bad and deserved shaming.
In the sixth grade, I was mocked for having armpit hair, and this time it worked. I asked my mother figures to teach me to shave and they embraced it immediately. They were expecting to show me this ritual eventually, same as buying my first bra or having a period. This is accepted as something that women just have to do, and it's normalized from mother to daughter, generation after generation.
This results in a world where you very rarely see body hair on any adult woman, so any woman who does have this hair is an outlier, noticeable, weird, wrong. Of course any girl would choose the option that doesn't make you a target, that lets you blend in. But it's so naive to assert that you chose it just because you wanted to, not because of the immense social pressure.
And then you have men, who are never punished for growing hair on their bodies like the mammals they are. Why don't they choose to shave "for themselves"?
#felt#i was called a monkey as a kid for having more body hair than most#tried waxing for the first time at 11 years old. but never made a habit of it. Thank god#im so glad my mom never pressured me into removing my body hair#it’s the saddest thing when i see mothers and older sisters pressuring the girls in their families#female werewolf solidarity#shewolf if you will

there is no such thing as a real name. anyone can change their name for any reason to anything, yes even to a name that is traditionally for the opposite sex, and you should respect that

the most terminally online take i've seen on tiktok is that vids of straight girls being remotely intimate (not like, romantically, just touchy) are fake and made "for the male gaze". look I was in high school once and straight girls are kind of just like that. something like sitting on your friend's lap or carrying a friend was not done to "appeal to the male gaze". it's literally just hanging out. I diagnose you with NEGATIVE bitches

“Lifestyle feminism ushered in the notion that there could be as many versions of feminism as there were women. Suddenly the politics was being slowly removed from feminism. And the assumption prevailed that no matter what a woman’s politics, be she conservative or liberal, she too could fit feminism into her existing lifestyle. Obviously this way of thinking has made feminism more acceptable because its underlying assumption is that women can be feminists without fundamentally challenging and changing themselves or the culture.”

tbh i think it’s kinda weird and creepy to say that someone is born with their kinks and that they’re an immutable part of their identity, because not only does that argument have a lot of issues with regards to sexualizing kids, but it also implies that extreme racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. are inherent character traits (with a biological basis!) and not simply constructs of a prejudiced society. like i promise no one is born with the desire to “roleplay” stripping marginalized people of their rights grafted into their fucking DNA.
#not a kink based on oppression dynamics but i saw someone talk about furries as this innate kink… girl#that shit was made up in like the 90s or something it literally did Not exist 50 years ago#how tf could it be innate. did people secretly have unfulfilled furry kinks in the 1800s#yiff yiff my lord

split attraction model is not real idc. romantic attraction is just bonding chemicals meant to turn sexual attraction into a real relationship. you might not actually want to have sex, you might have a low sex drive or other factors, but romantic attraction and sexual attraction are just different ways to experience the same thing. yeah you can have casual sex without bonding or experience intense bonding feelings without having sex with that person. yeah sexual attraction is fickle and may waxe and wane throughout a relationship, whereas tender feelings of romance tend to be more constant and stable (although they still require maintenance).
none of this changes the fact that the two experiences are deeply intertwined in the messy experience of being a living human. attempting to parse them out neatly is a pointless theoretical exercise & most people will not ever be able to do so in a way that describes their lived experience and all possible future experiences. any model of human behavior is useless if it fails at describing 90% of people's experiences accurately or requires 27482845700 categories to do so.

My heart belongs to difficult girls and women. To the ones who talk over men when they get interrupted. Dirty women, women who actually make men uncomfortable. The killjoy feminists. The women who dont walk on eggshells around men. The ones who make you feel safe because you know they will pick you instad of a man, they will always put another woman before they put a man. The ones who dont crave male validation and therefore are somehow so fucking free.

it was really heartening to learn that the purpose of creating such a thick uterine lining during the menstrual period was to prevent the implantation of embryos rather than encourage them, and that our uterus is basically flushing out anything it deems unworthy during the period itself rather than “punishing” us for not being pregnant (which is how it’s usually framed). it’s almost as if your female body is more concerned with the protection and continuation of itself rather than being used as a procreative vessel.
the fact that we’ve come to accept the idea that our reproductive organs are punishing us for not being continuously pregnant is proof of how deeply patriarchal brainwashing has convinced women that we are nothing but broodmares for ‘their’ children.

so bizarre how this system of gender (called gender identity) wherein you don’t know anyones until they tell you and it can literally be anything (omnigender, icegender, etc) and pronouns can be anything (xyr, fer, etc) just based on whatever the person wants it to be and it can change at any time was entirely created in the last few decades and it hasnt existed in any culture throughout human history and yet theres this idea that its a fundamental part of human existence, intrinsic to human nature. and so people literally pretend like cultures excluding gender role nonconforming people is the same thing as what we call a ‘gender identity’ today even though they are so clearly different. like we are literally rewriting both history and current reality. it’s bonkers
#very true#also#something something this is a result of the way interaction between people has been changed by the internet#it’s almost like people are roleplaying online with their customizable gender character

the trouble with the cis/trans dichotomy is it has people convinced that if u dont explicitly identify yourself as trans you must be cis and must therefore identify with the gender you were assigned at birth. or if you clearly dont identify with the gender you were assigned at birth then you must be trans, even if you do not explicitly identify by that term. well maybe gender is just fucking stupid and made-up and the dichotomy isn’t real. did you consider that
