P.S. If characters' skin turns black when moving them into a lot or placing them in the CAS room, try restarting the game. If that doesn’t help, go into the tattoo design mode and clear any drawn tattoos. Unfortunately, the issue of Sims’ skin occasionally turning black after using the tattoo design mode hasn’t been fixed by the developers yet. But I just can’t resist using this feature to give my characters more individuality—sorry about that!

I saw something today that just didn’t sit right with me at all and I’m the type that if I don’t talk about it that it’s just going to eat me alive. So that being said, I used to go by “Ghoulishly” and I used to be on Twitter and for a moment on Bluesky. I used to be really good friends with an individual and for this persons sake, I will not name them, but if you know, you know. I was friends with this person for nearly three years. Things started out really well on Twitter when we first met. I felt alive again and like I wasn’t alone in the world because at that time, I was coping with my reality of being disabled. I can’t see out of my left eye anymore and that prevents me from being able to keep a steady job in my hometown where all we pretty much have is factory work and then a busted Walmart and that’s pretty much it. I can’t drive due to my eye. I have an auto immune disease and unfortunately my immune system fails me a lot because of it. So I’m very much isolated while being a caregiver to my elderly parents while I’m also trying to navigate my own health issues and manage my neurodivergence.

So sims and posting has always been a huge escape for me. It helps me live vicariously through my sims and do things that I will simply never be able to do because of my condition and situation.

Again that’s when I met this person. We kicked off really fast, but just as things were going good that’s when things started to crack. I started to see this persons true colors that was masked by false kindness, care and friendship that eventually became about control, manipulation, etc.

It turned toxic and I began to withdraw and slowly pull myself away from the friendship. I do love and respect myself enough to not be hurt and treated the way things had been behind the scenes. All the while this person is playing the victim card and coming out to make herself smell like a rose with it all and has still posted characters that I had made and created.

I came here to reinvent myself. This is my place of reclaim where I don’t have to worry about the toxicity with someone who I did care about. We made some very beautiful things and memories that I will still look back on, but we just weren’t meant to be. Life does weird things like that. Put people into your path and have you learn lessons. Make you cherish that feeling of having someone special to you.

Anyways, I just wanted to get that off my chest. I just want my space to create st and post my shenanigans again without deadlines or obligations or emotional manipulation. That’s all I gotta say on the matter. 💜
