I haven't been posting a while, I know.

Here's a sketch of a CG scene for my VN. The man on the left is Ethan, and the other one is Stanley. I've re-drawn some stuff for the game because I haven't gotten warm to them, such as the background of the apartment and Bowie's design. (hence why he's gone from my blog.)

His face looked weird, sorry Bowie... I also needed to rewrite his introduction. My friend pointed out that it sounded too much like AI writing (that friend being me). I've also polished some parts of the script and the story. I hope I can finally publish the prologue, maybe late July or the second week of June, don't take this as a promise tho.

When I'm sure I'll make a proper introduction of my game, there's not much to go from on what I've been posting lol. Anyway, hope you're having a great time!

Meet Elenia Miranda!

Elenia is the Company's lawyer, by title. She is sharp, brutally honest, and way too overqualified to do pointless errands just for a paycheck. She hates injustice, despises it even, but in a dystopian world, there isn't much she can do.

Don't mistake her asociality for an introvert-ish trait, she just really hates people. She's not the type to sugarcoat things, upsetting someone doesn't bother her, but misunderstanding someone does.

She doesn't mean to get involved in company secrets. Really. But every time something smells like a secret, she's already knee-deep before she remembers she hates this place.

Depending on the situation, Elenia will be your ally or enemy.

The Break Room

Even in a place like ARC, people need a break. The company’s breakroom is a quiet spot to breathe.

Tucked away from the busy labs and sterile halls, the place offers warmth and quiet. Smell of coffee, and the sunlight drifting in through make it feel peaceful.

Here, coworkers rest, chat, and share little moments. It’s not much but comfort still matters.

Uhhh.... I realized that most of my sprites are as old as Paleozoic times, so I will probably renew them (none of the sprites are in the video, but oh well). I will also post a character's introduction. Maybe I will post the old sprites as well.

Meet Stanley Wilson!

Stanley is a researcher part of the research institution. He is a total workaholic, but not for money, only for his love of anomalies and researching.

Stan is not exactly a fan of socializing you could even say he has some kind of trust issues therefore when he meets someone new he's as cold as an iceberg one that’s just about to melt.

It's easy to get him out of his shell, you've noticed. A few genuine compliments, a spark of curiosity, will make it work, or is it your charm? Before long, you catch glimpses of the person underneath someone passionate, intense, and surprisingly funny in his own awkward way. He is not used to being seen in this way.

Meet Analeigh Bryant!

Analeigh, aka Ana, is another intern you will work with.

Even from the first day her bad temper is clearly known, her bossy, know it all attitude makes her a pain to work with. Though her honesty is a great way to make yourself someone better.

It is clear as day that she is not fond of socializing and people in general, but her hatred of humanity seems to vanish when it comes to you.

Little is known about Ana’s background, but rumors suggest she comes from a family with vast, secretive influence, especially regarding anomalies. Strangely, Ana’s name is never publicly tied to them, as if she’s been deliberately kept in the shadows. She never brings it up and tries to change the topic when it comes to them.

[ANOMALIES]

Stanley finally comes back with something in his hands. It's a jar filled with something you can't exactly perceive.

“Dont they look amazing?” He says with admiration.

“I dont even know what they are…”

The jar is filled with weird, caterpillar-like creatures, not the green kind. They look like those strips police use when there is a crime scene… yellowish orange with black stripes.

Aside from the maw those caterpillars have. There is a single eye on each one.

“What exactly are these?” You ask reluctantly, not sure if you even want an answer.

“These are Anomalies, caterpillar ones more specifically.” He opens the jar and reaches inside it. He takes one in his hand and continues to speak.

“We have been genetically modifying them to reduce the plastic waste on Earth.”

"However, they are not done yet."

You step inside, shutting the door with a soft click behind you. The warm glow of the sun washes over the room, casting gentle shadows.

The faint scent of fabric softener and old wood greets you. You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, the quiet hum of the fridge and the soft rustle of curtains filling the silence. The weight of the day slips off your shoulders.

Here, at last, you can rest.

Meet Melea Beck!

Melea is the friendly face you'll first meet when you step into ARC. With a bright smile, she’s the kind of person who immediately puts you at ease, exactly what you'd hope for in a receptionist.

Always ready to chat, Melea is kind, open, and genuinely cares about making you feel welcome. She’s patient with your questions (even the weird ones) and does her best to help you navigate the confusing world of your new internship.

But... you might notice something else. For someone who's worked at ARC for so long, maybe even seen the start of the company, Melea seems strangely uninformed about the company’s deeper operations, and sometimes, her helpful attitude feels just a little too polished.

Either way, Melea will be by your side.

No matter what.

HELLO, hi? It is I, I guess? It's been 2 months and I've been working on my VN for a while, so I think it's time for the first log ever :3

[FIRST LOG]

To be honest, I’m not really sure what I’m doing. Even though I have some experience in coding through Scratch as a kid, coding a full VN is really confusing me, not so fun fact, I've begun to write this just because I am having a problem with the code, but it's kinda a part of the learning curve so I am not complaining.

More about the visual part of a VN, I've finished most of the sprites, but there is still a character that I haven't finished

About backgrounds, I quickly realized that drawing all the backgrounds right now for the prototype will make me lose time, so I downloaded some royalty-free stuff and adjusted the pictures. Here are two of them (there are also some that I drew)

Some stuff about the UI, I didn't change the dialogue window or the options or whatever, but here's a starting screen background!

Now for the story script... It's really what I improved the most, I could say I've finished the prologue, 1st,2nd day, and I have a rough sketch(?) of 3rd, and the 5th day added many new scenarios, and refined more of the stories of the characters and their personalities.

I will make some sort of character Introductions and post it here so you guys can have an understanding of the characters!

Inside there is no one besides you. Maybe you were quite early .

Some info about the VN I am currently working on

The game I am making will be made using Ren'Py. I've finished most of the sprites and backgrounds.

For the record EvoLution won't be centered upon yandere characters and yandere themes, but there will be some routes that the character become yandere so its kinda up to the player.

But I mean? It kind of becomes a yandere game in a way, the game will contain horror and sci-fi stuff as well.

The game is about the player interning at a research company that no one has ever heard of. You'll discover hidden truths as you go on.

It is a slow burn, just so you know.

There are 4 dateables at the moment, this might go up to 6 (might).

I might make a fully yandere VN after I am done with EvoLution, but dont take this as a promise.
