The first time you meet him he's about to have you executed, but when everyone gets mad, he says he's actually going to spare you and make you his protege and acts like this was his idea the whole time. He sends you on suicide missions (because you're his best vampire and he definitely expected you to succeed), sets you up as a witness to frame another vampire for murder, sets a pack of werewolves on you when you find out about it, then frames you for another murder and calls a vampire blood hunt on you. Then, if you don't side with him at the end of the game, he acts so shocked. You've betrayed him despite all the great opportunities he gave you as an expendable pawn.
