also u've probably said this before but what got u into baseball? for me i got into hockey cause my dad watched one,, singular game and im curious what it was like for uu

ok so once upon a time, i got grounded. last year. (i am not proud of this /srs)

so my mom has a basic homeschool mom blog with her friends n i thought it would be funny (it wasnt that funny anyway) to write smth about myself.. on her wip page..

right in front of her face so i thought she would see it and laugh and i didnt know it would be published n then i forgot that i did that so the next morning i woke up and ppl were asking if she had been pranked and so uh i was massively grounded

i ended up paying her back by making 8 pieces of nonpaid artwork for her blog in one day but ok so i basically had nothing to do n i was grounded so i couldnt use my phone or ipad or anything

and my dad was watching the postseason cause the padres were in it and i decided oh what the heck. ill watch it with him. i didnt understand anything i was watching, but heck, it was fun. and ofc, its against the dodgers. the. dodgers. our mortal enemies

and so its a really big, important game. last game of the series. we're down by 3-0. if we win, then we'd advance and beat the dodgers??? which seems impossible

suddenly we score 5 runs in 1 inning and im screaming. trent, nola, soto, cronenworth, the guys. the guys. it was incredible. i was seriously intrigued

well, we beat the dodgers. but then we lost to the phillies. and it was all over. but i started watching the next year and well. i was absolutely hooked.

the next year, i watched all 162 games. if i couldnt watch, i would track it on my phone and pay attention to every minute of it.

it was a rollercoaster of emotions. its just a game, but it changed the way i viewed life around me. slowly, this horrible situation with my ex just melted away. the summer started looking up. we cried. we screamed. we celebrated. i went to a game. we lost, but it was still incredible. then i cried some more on the way home from san diego. and my life was forever changed

there was no reality. there was just baseball.

i cant describe it. idk what it tastes like. but like if you've ever had BAKED (SPECIFICALLY ONLY THE BAKED ONES!!) SPICY RUFFLES

that or takis which i CAN describe. spicy acidic corn chips that make my teeth and mouth hurt for hours

i highly reccomend not eating all the dust from the bag i did that once and had a stomachache for hours
