💫GET TO KNOW @UNIONJ 💫 In samenwerking met de meiden van @UnionJHolland gaan wij jullie de boys van Union J één voor één aan jullie voorstellen om jullie klaar te stomen voor de shows aankomende December. We beginnen met... JJ 😍. ‘JJ the Jockey’ Jamie, beter bekend als JJ (want dat komt een stuk sneller uit de mond – en oké, zijn bandlid heet Jaymi dus het is iets makkelijker te onderscheiden van elkaar) Hamblett is een van de bandleden van Union J. Geboren in een stad waar het allemaal draaide om paarden was zijn enige ambitie het bestijgen en racen van en met paarden, muziek kwam nog niet eens in de buurt van zijn interesses op dat moment! JJ heeft (samen met Jaymi en Josh, overigens) in een aantal boybands gezeten waarvan de namen waarschijnlijk nooit een bel bij je zullen rinkelen en meer dan een aantal covers hebben ze hiermee ook nooit bereikt. Tot ze samen werden gevoegd door iemand in de band Triple J en ze auditie deden voor X Factor UK. JJ, als je hem ontmoet, kun je het beste omschrijven als luid. Dat is het eerste woord dat in me opkomt. LUID. Hij is enorm enthousiast en uit dit door middel van zijn stem een octaaf of vierhonderd omhoog te laten gaan. Of het nu gaat van een vol enthousiaste ‘YES!!!’ tot een Hallo, het komt er niet zacht uit. Het is aandoenlijk, maar soms vereist het toch echt een oordop of twee. 😉

A Beginner’s Guide To Interrailing

Hiya all!

So this summer I will be interrailing through Europe for 3 weeks! Eeek, I am so excited! I’ve been interrailing 2 years ago and it was the best holiday ever that I wanted to go again.

Interrailing ia a way of traveling. You can travel around Europe by train, bus and boat. There are different kind of Interrail passes, so I highly recommend you to check out the website for more information about that. I will be traveling with a 1 month Interrail pass. It means I can travel a whole month with the pass. But you are only allowed to travel 10 days with the pass.  Again, check which pass fits for you the best.

I wanted to go to places that I have never been to before. I am traveling with my niece, so we made a list of cities we both wanted to go to. After that we checked if it’s easy to get there and for how long we want to stay there. After debating everything we came with a list of cities we are going to:

Berlin, Praguq, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Lubljana, Firenze, Paris. 

I am so excited to go to all these places and make new memories. And since Interrailed before, I made a little TOP 5 INTERRAIL TIPS! 

1. Do not take too much with you.

When you start packing you think you need everything. Keytip: Travel light. Trust me. When you are lugging around that heavy backpack with you, in the heat, you wish you had brought less. I have a 65L backpack, that is a lot of space but only bring the essentsials. 

2.  Learn a few words of the native language

It will make your trip a lot memorable. Learn words like ‘Hello’ or ‘Thank You’. It will put a smile on everyone’s face when you say it. When a local see you in their country making the effort to thank them in their own language, they will help you with some directions faster :)

3. Chat to the hostel staff before exploring.

It is nice to explore that city all by yourself and you found some of the hotspots online. But when you chat to the hostel staff before you go, they can give you some little tips to go to. Like the perfect place to have lunch. You might go to places you would never think of.

4.  Prepare yourself for long journeys

Traveling around can takes some time. It will depend on where you are going too. I do know that my travel from Ljubljana to Firence will take about 10 hours. Make sure you have enough food and water with you. Most trains do have a bar on board, but to save money make sure you bring it yourself. Also bring something to pass the hours away. Pack of cards, an e-book, music. I will probably sleep the whole journey, but ohwell haha. 

5.  Book accommodation in advance

I did this the last time and it was so much more relaxing. You arrive in the city knowing you already have a place to sleep. It also save time. You are not wandering around, looking for a place to stay. Especially in one of the more popular places, make sure you book accommodation.

#WEDDINGCRASHER The one and only #TaylorSwift showed up at fans wedding. Can this any cuter? Yes, it can. When Taylor suprised Max and Kenya she performs 'Black Space', a very special song for the couple. Sister Ali had sent a letter to Taylor to tell her that the couple married earlier this year in the hospital, so that their mother would not miss her son's wedding before she passed away. "Blank Space" was mom and son's first dance song. I think it is a kind of Taylor to show up at the wedding to make this day so special (and to perform Blank Space). » Vera

#SPOTTED EH? IS THAT ED SHEERAN, WEARING A RED TUTU? Yes. It is. We havent seen much from mister #EdSheeran since last December, when he announced a little "im taking time off from social media and I want to travel, see you next autumn bye". Ed had a bet going on with #RedNoseDay, if they raised more money than last year, he would eat something really disgusting, wearing a red tutu, in Japan. #MOVIE Awww here is a new trailer for #MeBeforeYou Emilia Clark and Sam Claflin are a beautiful couple to see. The story is about them two. It's about the girl Louisa and Will. But a serious accident leaves Will in a wheelchair. He thinks his life isnt worth living anymore (NO WILL DONT) But then he meets Louisa, who will take care of him. Just watch the trailer to see more. I know for sure I will shed some tears. » Vera

Me when asked about 1D hiatus. I glad we have #SoccerAid today (so expect more pictures of the boys today 😍). June has always been my 'YAY GOT A 1D CONCERT THIS MONTH' but not thos year and it feels weird. What are your plans to get through the 1D hiatus? » Vera
