"I wish you luck with that; Kakuzu's track record is not, by far, the best." Whether or not Kisame would flare up the miser's fury or not was an interesting enough thought, however there was a small ounce of sincerity to the woman's words. Kisame was one of select few who didn't frequently get on Sasori's nerves.
"As for Itachi, however, I have yet to see him since our briefing."

"The leader told me that some pairs would change, I have to stay with Kakuzu now .. I thought Itachi-san would be with you." he spoke breathing deeply, was concerned about the health of Itachi.

"That was my original belief," she replied, "but it seems to have little to no effect. Perhaps I simply need to change a variable." People didn't seem to want to stay in cold rooms... Perhaps she ought to lower the temperature twenty degrees... Though the more Sasori weighed the notion, the more she thought that it would only inflict a new line of questioning.
The puppet wasted little time in making her way to Itachi's side, and it was only after she stood beside him that she took the time to loosely tie the thin fabric around her neck.
"Perspectives would change depending upon whose eyes are being looked through; I do not require food, but you do." In other words, if he wished to go, she wouldn't complain. "In any case, tea houses were, as I recall, more preferable locations than here."
+ Uchihaxprodigy
Itachi in truth had grown rather weary of stnading, but he also enjoyed the conversation too much to complain. Besides, if worst came to worst, he could have always simply plopped down on the floor. He wasn’t picky about where he tended to rest if need arose. It was important that he rest his body after all, even if he was only living to allow his little brother revenge.
"Correct. Standing in your doorway wasn’t exactly my ideal choice but it isn’t as though your room is the most welcoming place." Onyx eyes watched Sasori reach for her cloak. "…Of course you probably keep it this way to deter most people from lingering."
He patiently waited for Sasori to join his side. As unexpected as their idea of going out with the puppet was, Itachi was now keenly interested in continuing their little association for as long as possible, after all she proved to be the most sane among their group. At least, compared to most. Itachi counted her among a small handful of their organization that he probably could have a decent conversation with. So far, she has nicely lived up to his expectations.
"I would have suggested a small trip to have tea and dango but that would be pointless since you do not exactly need to eat, do you?"

Sasori stood and, with thin fingers, picked up the hooded cloak she kept nearby. Whether or not it would be of any use would remain to be seen, but she would much rather be prepared than shivering. "I did not, actually. I simply couldn't imagine that you were actually comfortable standing in the doorway like that."
Through intensively studying the human body as much as Sasori had over the years, the puppet had become acquainted with deciphering who and what was healthy and who or what wasn't. What precisely was wrong with her colleague, however, Sasori hadn't the slightest; she only knew that Itachi wasn't entirely well, and no matter what his ailment was, being on his feet for long periods of time surely wasn't good.
"Growing up in Suna stunts the growth of such ideas, admittedly. Even despite the length of time I have been removed from the desert, it has yet to seem a decent idea."
+ Uchihaxprodigy

He nodded in agreement. It is likely the only reason why the Akatsuki has not ordered his death. Besides, tracking the amn was a pain. Even Konoha had trouble locating him. “It is difficult, but not impossible. Someone will kill him eventually.”
With Sasori’s next comment, he decided that a change in topic was beneficial. Her remark made Itachi glance around, remembering that he was standing in the middle of her room. How quickly one forgets in the throws of conversation.
"That would be preferable, yes. Did you have somewhere in mind? I must confess, I didn’t think you were the type to go out for a casual stroll in the sunshine and have a chat."
#uchihaxprodigy#I decided that Sasoris all just do what they want#because I have no idea what in the heck is even going on with mine anymore :3

"Difficult indeed, and although I admit to it being one I would like done, it is not something I would pursue out of the woods of convenience." She hated Orochimaru, yes, but she'd hardly be willing to waste much energy and or supplies on. "Moving away from distasteful subjects, however..."
The woman sighed. By now, any previous desire to complete paperwork, no matter how small it had been in the first place, was entirely vacated; she may as well do something that gave some amount of pleasure.
"Perhaps you would care to move someplace other than my lifeless biome to speak?"
+ Uchihaxprodigy
Her answer towards the subject of Deidara brought a small amount of amusement to him. Itachi might even go so far as to say he thought the puppet liked Deidara in the most barran sense of the word. Or perhaps she simply found her partner amusing? Sasori was a hard person to read.
His observed the puppet master as she spoke. Her answer did not satisfy his curiosity, but it was better than nothing. Itachi however, declined to push the matter further least he end up on her bad side.
"Fair enough. I suppose we can both agree on that matter. Of course, killing this snake is a tough job."

"Oh he would," she sighed. "Which is why such words will reach his ears over my dead body." Deidara was just one of many people who Sasori planned on breathing but not a single breath of a compliment to in person; should such a rare kind word leave her lips, she refused to have it spat back in her face and mocked. The very notion of trampling upon such a gift was infuriating.
Chocolate eyes flickered from the area of nothing -presumably an imaginary Orochimaru stand-in- that had previously had the puppet master's undivided attention to the equally untelling eyes of Itachi. Whether or not his question would be answered was as of yet undecided. Curiosity wasn't something that Sasori frowned upon, but on the other hand, was this truly a subject she wished to delve deeper into? Her answer was impersonal enough, but it did speak of her principals...
"In my homelands, we have a saying; the only good snake is a dead one."

+ Uchihaxprodigy

"I am certain Deidara would be thrilled to hear you say that. Although he might also make a joke and ruin the moment. He’s quite the loose canon." Itachi tried to imagine Deidara’s look at finding out Sasori preferred him over almost everyone else. He also quickly imagined the blond ruining the moment with a comment of some sort.
Itachi silently pondered if he could easily function with another partner if he didn’t have Kisame. If his previous experience with Orochimaru is an example…well it would depend on the person. He’s not hard to partner up with, at least he didn’t think so. The Uchiha was generally quiet and agreeable on most things and his sharp intellect often saved most people trouble,
His eyes watched Sasori’s as her entire tone changed at the mention of a certain name. “You say that, but you’re the one who wishes to kill him most. Why? Of course you do not have to tell me, but call it…a rare moment of curiosity on my behalf.”

"I would rather have to tolerate Deidara than some other brat." Deidara, at least, was respectful most of the time. From what she had seen of the rest of the shinobi population these days... Any other fool paired with Sasori would be dead within the month.
The next topic that was brought up earned a several moment lapse of silence. Orochimaru was one of the few human beings that the puppet genuinely loathed. "That other thing ranks among most that I would much rather not deal with," finally came Sasori's dry hiss. This topic alone was enough to add a dash of venom to the woman's voice and narrow chocolate eyes. "I washed my hands of that contemptible traitor years ago..."

+ Uchihaxprodigy
"I suspected that you tried at least once or twice. Of course, poisoning him would probably work better, but then we’d have to go out and recruit you another partner." Of course, Itachi suspected a few of the others would be okay with this.

He allowed the smallest of chuckles to escape his pale lips. “I wonder who is worse, Deidara or Orochimaru. At least Deidara isn’t out to steal bodies.” Itachi was comfortable enough to attempt to make light of that certain incident which had caused the aforementioned sannin to leave the Akatsuki in the first place. “Deidara may be annoying, but at least he’s not greedy or creepy.”

"How am I to know?" Sasori replied shortly; she wasn't exactly in the mood to socialize. Though, to be fair, she had no clue where her own partner was either.

"You say that as if I myself haven't tried on multiple occasions." Not that happened to actually got the blond to shut up. No, he simply dodged the blow and kept prattling on.
Any amusement she may have felt, however, was kept under tight lock and key. Thus far, Sasori felt as if she'd shown too much, and left herself far too open. Itachi possessed a small amount of her trust -enough really to allow any of their interaction to occur- but nonetheless, she didn't want to make herself seem any weaker. After all, emotion was just that: weakness.
"Regardless, trying to murder him helps little. The only thing that does is feeding him, which unfortunately is not a frequent enough solution."
+ Uchihaxprodigy
Not only did he manage to actually hold a conversation with Sasori, but he also was privileged to hear her laugh. That was actually a strange thing, not her laugh, but knowing that he was one of few who have probably heard it.
"I doubt ignoring him will do any good. He is quite determined when he wishes to get a reaction. Again, I am in awe of how you can stand him. I, personally, might have tried to murder him." There’s something to be said about her ability to remain calm and controlled, even when faced with Deidara. Itachi can not honestly recall a single time he’s seen the red head upset.

Sasori nearly laughed at that; there wasn't a day when she didn't have the occasional thought of getting rid of her partner out of pure annoyance. Sure the brat was useful in his way, and he more than handled his share of the work, but Deidara's personality could be downright abrasive at times. He was far too personable and boisterous, and that was to say nothing of his ego and habit of bringing up the folly he called 'art.'
"You may safely say so indeed." She leaned forward, her chin rested comfortably in the palm of her hand and her elbow on her knee. "Some of his behaviors stir up quite the abrasive mixture of emotions, though I suppose that ignoring him when necessary makes him tolerable."
+ Uchihaxprodigy
He was going to take that nod as an acknowledgement. Itachi hardly expected another compliment to pass her lips. Sasori simply did not seem like the type to freely give them, which he noted in his previous response. Of course, her next comment came as a surprise as well.
"Well I suppose I can safely say that I am better company than Deidara? It is lost on me as to how you can stand his company for long periods of time." Although Itachi didn’t particularly care of Deidara’s presence, he didn’t hate him either. He was actually rather indifferent towards the aforementioned blond.

Sasori only gave a nod of her head in response. One compliment for now was more than sufficient, and she didn't want to cast herself as a boot-licker. Granted, one or two in... More than likely years shouldn't have and probably hadn't caused such a thought, but to be safe, a second would not escape her lips.
"I don't know that I would say I am in a good mood," she said with a mildly interested voice. True, this was more talkative than she normally was, however, she felt her mood to be nothing more than average at best. "It is, however, nice to associate with someone other than my brat of a partner."

+ Uchihaxprodigy
"I greatly appreciate that respect. Coming from you, it means a great deal. You do not hand out compliments to just anyone after all." Actually, Itachi could not recall any time in which Sasori has complimented another. She generally tended to hand out insults more readily than compliments from what Itachi has seen.
Itachi could recall Deidara’s recruitment into the Akatsuki as a prime example actually. In fact, he called her words upon seeing Deidara. Hadn’t she said he would die young? Although perhaps that’s more of a truth than an insult. Deidara isn’t much younger than Itachi after all. He had to be at least eighteen.
Since Sasori herself seemed willing to continue the exchange of words, Itachi considered lingering a little longer. Perhaps he’s caught the red head on a good day, to which he is grateful for his good fortune. From his general understanding, Sasori simply did not seem like the most social person.
"You seem to be in a very good mood. I mean that with no disrespect to you, however, you’re usually not this interested in conversation."

In the time it took for her duplicate to reply, the woman had searched for the smallest of anomalies -of which she found none beyond sex differences. Satisfied with these results, curiosity-filled eyes replaced the eye-contact that had previously been in place.
"Assuming that we possess the same memories, it may be safe to say thus that we have, indeed, seen it all." Or at least, everything that held any measurable amount of pertinence. "Though this may be odd, I cannot help but think it intriguing as well."
+ Artisticallyeternal
Well then. This was certainly odd.
The redhead narrowed his eyes slightly at the woman before him, tilting his head to the side as he looked her over. The resemblance was uncanny- not to mention absolutely fascinating, even though Sasori hadn’t the slightest idea how such a thing was possible.
"And here I was, working under the assumption that I’ve seen it all." The puppeteer felt the need to comment, a not-quite smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "This is… Odd, to say the least."

"You are equally so, and I believe it to be cause for much respect." Sasori found these words to be a properly polite response without feeling entirely uncomfortable. One compliment every once in a blue moon surely wouldn't hurt. At least, it wouldn't, so long as it was given to one like Itachi, who she doubted would hassle her for it at any given point in time.
To be rather frank, Sasori had intended fully to shepherd her colleague out -which promised to be a lesser task in comparison to her partner- once his business was completed. Instead, she found conversing with Itachi to be a nice break from the irritation of paperwork. Her spies could be bonafide morons at times.
+ Uchihaxprodigy
Ah so that was it. Itachi could understand that. Paperwork needed to be done and ahving something far more appealing nearby will inevitably lead to distraction. Even puppets seemed prone to the stimuli of life, at least mentally.
"I see. You’re a very meticulous person, Sasori. That, is a quality I can very well appreciate." There in lies the mutual respect which Itachi held for his fellow Akatsuki member. It’s also noted that this is a rare moment when he was privileged to hold an actual conversation with the puppet master. Somehow he expected her to dismiss his presence rather quickly and return to her chosen activity, however boring it was.
