Booting up Elden Ring for the first time in a year once the DLC drops

Reasons why I like smol Miquella

1. It's cute lol

2. In the Vulgar Militia man armor description it's said that in the Lands Between the small are scorned; so Miquella, cursed to be eternally a child, to be forever small, being the most fearsome Empyrean/Demigod is a sweet irony and contradiction to how the Golden Order operates, and really hammers home Miquella's eventual rejection of Fundamentalism.

So yeah I absolutely adore smol Miquella 😂

Okay so while playing the 1.0.0 version of elden ring I came across the unedited item description of the Page Hood.

Now this blurb is interesting because going back to this old post of mine:

This whole line of dialogue specifically alludes to extreme prejudice even amongst those born of nobility, and it paints a very interesting(and depressing) picture about how Miquella and his curse was likely viewed by everyone else in Leyndell and possibly elsewhere in the Lands Between.

Because like, in terms of Malenia obviously everyone was afraid of her because she was literally a walking disease factory.

But given this description of the Page Hood, Miquella was likely looked down upon by everyone because of his curse stunting his growth. In cut content we have Godrick calling the twins "Rank and Malformed" and with this new info, it's apparent to me that Malenia was the Rank one, and Miquella was the Malformed one, all because Miquella is stunted and small.

Given how the Golden Order treats Morgott and Mohg despite being born of Queen Marika, Miquella was also probably treated horribly and ostracized just for being small, and likely the only grace he had was by virtue of being an Emyprean alongside Malenia.

god the twins probably wouldve both been exiled(at a bare MINIMUM) if they HADNT been empyreans :(

Miquella being ostracized and looked down upon all his life and then going off to create his own paradise for the forsaken, because he too was an outcast, is just so fucking tragic and poetic...

Instead of lashing out at the world that hated him and Malenia, Miquella instead choose to be kind and loving 😭😭😭😭
