NOTICE: As more and more fanfic writers are using generative AI for their works (you uncreative dweebs), I hereby swear on everything I hold dear that I have not and will NEVER use generative AI in ANY of my written work. Everything I post will be organically and creatively my own.

In at least one version of my Pitch Perfect universe this is Stacie’s sister, who went to school on the west coast on an athletic scholarship.
She comes to visit at some point and the fact Bree is fawning all over her is the catalyst for Stacie finally realizing she is well and truly fucked. She has, beyond a shadow of a doubt, caught feelings for Aubrey Posen.
She also flirts mercilessly with Chloe, resulting in a similar realization from Beca.

If I was writing it, in no small part because I am not in the mood for angst, I’d set this moment no later than the break between s2 and 3 if not earlier. (Also so I could repurpose a line from the Ryan Reynolds GL movie)
The meeting happens very quickly after Lena gets the ring. Maybe just after her first rescue. Maybe she goes to Supergirl to train her.
They are on the roof of some skyscraper that isn’t LCorp or CatCo since they are both putting at least a little effort into not giving themselves away.
Kara is at least aware of the Green Lantern Corps either from Krypton or because of J’onn.
“You haven’t had that ring for long.” It wasn’t a question.
Lena couldn’t tell why exactly Supergirl was bristling. They seemed to have worked well together. She hoped that it wasn’t some sort of jealousy over not being National City’s only superhero anymore.
“No. Less than a week.” Lena stood tall and squared her shoulders. “Why do you ask?”
“Because no experienced Lantern would be this reckless.” Supergirl snapped.
“And just what the hell is that supposed to mean?” Lena shot back.
“That situation was far too dangerous for someone on their first day. What the heck were you thinking Lena?!?!”
Lena sputtered for several seconds before finally managing “What are you talking about?”
“Please. That domino mask isn’t fooling anyone. With that gorgeous face do you honestly think I wouldn’t recognize you just because I can’t see your cheekbones?”
Lena let the admittedly insignificant mask dissolve before starting into beautiful blue eyes.
“And what would you recommend?” A slow cocky smirk spread across deep red lips. “Maybe a pair of glasses?”
Lena Luthor: Green Lantern AU
A new guardian is chosen for sector 2814. A meeting with one of Earth’s mightiest protectors is sure to come.

How to Support Writers During the Scourge of A.I. Bullshit
Do
Interact with us. Talk to us. Reach out to us. Many writers physically write for themselves, but they share for others. To build a community and connect with someone, to learn from them, and to make a genuine connection through something they've created. Comments, questions, rambling tags, they all mean that our writing reached someone who genuinely enjoyed it.
Share our work. This does not mean repost, this means reblog and/or send the link to friends and other potential readers. Some writers may have negative experiences with their work being shared on other platforms (such as discord), but reblogging is almost always appreciated so we can reach a wider audience. Even if you don't have anything to say or comment, it will help.
Ask questions. Many writers are dying to talk about the creative choices they made, the word choice they fought with until they got it just right, the details they added just HOPING someone would notice it. If you wish you could get more context/detail about a piece, odds are all you have to do is ask!
Treat us like humans (because we are). Crazy concept, right? The thing that terrifies me the most about all this is the potential that we take humanity out of the arts. We replace it with A.I. until human creativity becomes irrelevant because it's more convenient and more profitable.
We are not robots making content for your entertainment, we are people sharing stories to make genuine human connections and share our passions. Stories that take hours, days, months, even years of our lives to properly craft. We practice and study and learn so that we can express ourselves skillfully. Even when done as a hobby for fun, there is heart and energy and time put into the final draft.
And finally, Don't
Use A.I. for anything. Because the more it's used, the more advanced it becomes. The more advanced it becomes, the harder it will be to discern a genuine human touch between an A.I. regurgitating what it's been taught.
In the end, this is a plea. I'm begging you. Do not give A.I. the ability to replace us.

Hi,
It’s you friendly neighbor fanfic author here. In the light of this apparent new trend of people feeding unfinished fics to AI to get an “ending,” and some people even talking about “blanket permissions,” let me just say this:
I EXPLICITLY FORBID ANYONE TO FEED MY FICS TO AI. DUDE, THAT IS ABOUT THE LEAST RESPECTFUL THING YOU CAN DO. IF YOU DO IT, SHALL YOU BE EXCOMMUNICATED FROM YOUR FANDOM AND WALK ON LEGOS BAREFOOT TILL THE END OF DAYS.
That is my anti-permission.
Thank you for your attention.

For those of you who want to lock all of your works with all the silly AI scraping of AO3 (which AO3 is recommending you lock your works, as stated in this post)
Here is a quick and easy guide of how to edit ALL of your works at once.
From your Dashboard click on “edit works” on the far right. This will bring up all of your works that you can select.
Select all the works you want to edit, then hit “Edit” at the bottom right.
Scroll to nearly the bottom of the page where you find “Visibility” and select “only show to registered users” and then update at the bottom.
That’s it, all of your works have now been locked without having to go in and edit each fic individually.
I hope this helps!

ICYMI, there was fear that companies were scraping public AO3 fics to train their AI without the consent of AO3 or its users. That fear has been confirmed.
AO3 has written about what they’re doing (and what they’re not able to do), and they recommend restricting your work to AO3 registered users only. [Instructions here]
This gross misuse of the archive by techbros is why I’ve locked down my fics for the foreseeable future. I recommend the rest of you do the same.

Making My Fanfics Private
UPDATE: 5/12/2023
OTW has removed the article from OTW Signals but they yet havent clarified their position.
Update to OTW Signal, May 2023 | Organization for Transformative Works
The soft back pedding with regrets about the "opinion of one volunteer" is not good enough. The comments were made by the OTW Legal Chair, who represented them in official capacity in a listening session with US Copyright office.
Please clarify your official position and ensure author works are not used for AI training without their permission.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Original Post follows:
It is extremely disheartening to see OTW's announcement to use user created fanfics to train AI.
I support WGA strike!
Our free labor of love (fanfics) should NOT be used to train AI so that they can displace humans. I am taking my works private as a protest. I am only one person but I will do what I can.
NO AI Training without the AUTHOR's EXPLICIT PERMISSION. I DO NOT GIVE AO3 PERMISSION To share my free labor to train an AI Bot.
I am making my stories private by adding to this "Protest" Collection. Its unmoderated so anyone can add. Happy to add Co-Owners. Please reach out.
AO3 Writers Protest Against OTW Training AI on Fanfic | Archive of Our Own
More Information on OTW announcement here:
#with this latest development of the situation I don't think I am going to post any new works on ao3 for the time being#and for the record removing my works is an option that is now very much on the table#this entire thing is such a mess#and the fact that the site specifically built to protect writers seems to be giving up on that mission sucks#especially posting this shit DURING THE WGA STRIKE which is in part fighting against ai

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Supergirl (TV 2015) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor Additional Tags: Lena Luthor Knows Kara Danvers Is Supergirl, Halloween, minor Halloween costume shenanigans, Idiots in Love, Fluff, Tooth-Rotting Fluff Summary:
“What do you mean you've never dressed up for Halloween?” Kara stared at Lena in shock.
“I didn't say that. I have dressed up for nearly every Halloween since I got adopted. I was getting dragged to charity masquerade galas before I even knew what any of those words meant.”
“So not the same thing. Wearing one of your gorgeous gala dresses and a boring mask on a stick so it doesn't mess up your thousand-dollar salon hairstyle is not 'dressing up for Halloween'. That is not a Halloween costume!”
Or
Lena has never had a real Halloween and Kara intends to remedy that ASAP. Luckily Kara found this out the day before Halloween.
(btw my work is still user locked because fuck AI. If you need an invite I have some available.)

I love it when anons/guests find my works and kudo/leave reviews, but given the new revelation that Elon Musk is using bots to mine AO3 fanfiction for a writing AI without writer's permission, my works are now archive-locked and only available for people with an AO3 account.
#for the 4 or so people who pay any attention to the stuff I post here all my fics are now user-locked and will be going forward#I do have invites if anyone needs them

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Pitch Perfect (Movies) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Chloe Beale/Beca Mitchell Characters: Beca Mitchell, Chloe Beale Additional Tags: Beca being a tease Summary:
Chloe's phone chimed just as she was finishing checking her suitcase for the last time. She smiled when she saw the message was from Beca. When she opened it and saw the picture Beca sent her jaw dropped. When she finally read the caption Beca had included Chloe's mind completely ceased functioning. All that was working in that moment was a few feet south of Chloe's brain, and that particular region of her body was suddenly working overtime.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Pitch Perfect (Movies) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Chloe Beale/Beca Mitchell, Stacie Conrad/Aubrey Posen Characters: Beca Mitchell, Chloe Beale, Stacie Conrad, Aubrey Posen Additional Tags: ridiculous fluff, Established Bechloe, Beca and Chloe live together, Bree lives in the same city but has her own place, I'd call this a high T rating for a bit of swearing and drunk and dramatic Aubrey Summary:
Inspired by a joke made on tumblr by @becasbelt
"you can't tell me that Stacie Conrad wasn't close to naming her child Stacie Jr. just so the song "Stacy's Mom" could apply to her."
That's it. That's almost the whole the fic.
