Slapdash Games aims to create a series of games that will follow the Lovecraft-inspired monster encounters intertwined with the Red Herring Diner and its residents.

The current project is the titular 'Red Herring', which follows four young adults who move back to their hometown and attempt to reconstruct their lives. When a lost pet case goes awry, the world seems much larger than their town made it appear. Featuring numerous planned puzzles, six possible endings, character specific choices, and a lovable cast.

I NEED TO RANT ABT SOMETHING CS U GUYS ARE SO MEAN ???? TL;DR AT THE BOTTOM!!

I see WAY too many people talking about how so many editors are being basic, uncreative, repetitive, and to an extent, even COPYING.

That is degrading, condescending and incredibly unmotivating to new editors, and to some even current and active editors.

Your mind will NOT make something new without inspiration. You don't dig into the ground and find frames or graphics. Artists also need references. Writing is often inspired. Sports requires years of hard work. Editing is no different.

People will take inspiration off of other things. They will use the same bows and ribbons because it looked PRETTY. They will use similar colors because they CAN. And through a process you will build your own editing style. If its a bit similar to someone else's, NOBODY CARES! If it works for you, it works for you.

And above all, it is hypocritical. Instead of complaining about how everyone else isn't being creative enough, how a certain genre of blogs all look the same, why not branch out and make something new yourself? Or better yet- give feedback, and share resources. Or will they look too much like you? Are you that high of ego?

I am not inherently saying that there ISN'T repetitiveness in editblr. If you look through my old frames they were all essentially the same with different colors. But NOW they are not. NOW they have differences. Similarities enough to be known as my editing style, but NOT the same. It is SLOW, but again, it is a PROCESS.

TL;DR

Originality is dead. If you think you did it first, your WRONG. (- preyr) People will take inspiration, some editing styles may be similar and that's FINE. To be complaining without taking action is just degrading.
