the reverse eddieshannon fake out was incredible. like we were led to believe that eddie ran because it got too hard. eddie has said himself that reenlisting in afghanistan was him running from shannon. and then she ran from him. it was a cycle they both got caught up in, and then their marriage failed. shannon yelled at him. she didn't need a provider, she needed a partner.
this time, things got hard too. eddie pointed his finger in buck's face and he yelled and he was so so so angry. but instead of running, he brought his son home because he knew buck needed chris. he was able to push through everything else to be the partner buck needed. because buck was feeling isolated and like he was lacking connection, so eddie brought him family. family who may not be biologically related to buck, but who accepted him in their diaz ranks a long long time ago.
eddie broke the cycle. instead of doing the same things that destroyed his relationship with shannon, he took a step back and realized what buck needed. what they both needed. their family, in tact and together again. and so eddie made it happen.... eddie's first. and his last.

A conversation we need to have during this hiatus is how Ryan Guzman/Eddie is often treated by fans of the show.
Like whenever something happens to Buck or anyone on the show people find the way to blame Ryan for it. Last week people were literally calling Eddie abusive just for yelling at Buck. People are blaming buddie not happening, people were saying how Tommy is better at Spanish than him,how Tommy could walk circles around him. Which makes no fucking sense, since Eddie is cannonly half Mexican. Ryan is Latino.
People were making deportation jokes in front of him while filming 8×18. There were people making jokes about tagging him in su*c*de related content. The guy who openly has admitted to struggling with his mental health.
It just makes me sick. You can dislike an actor and character but it's really easy not to be racist.
Ryan is known as one of the nicest people on set,he's known for standing up to others and being kind. I just wish the fans were nicer to him.

May 18.
Today marks the 81st anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.
At 4 a.m., my grandparents were forcibly taken from their home. They were loaded into cattle cars and exiled from their homeland — their own land. The men were still at war, while children, the elderly, and women were thrown into this nightmare. Half of our people perished during the deportation. Half.
For fifty years, the road home was closed to us. We were forbidden to return. Crimean Tatars only began to come back to Crimea in 1991, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. My parents returned that year. They spent half their lives in exile.
I am the first generation born in Crimea. And yet, today we are not allowed to hold public gatherings to honor this day — because of the war, or rather, the so-called "special military operation."
I live in Crimea, on my own ancestral land. But it does not belong to me — and perhaps never will.
I want Crimea to be free and Crimean Tatar. Not Ukrainian. Not Russian.
Crimean Tatar.
I remember.
I will never forget the horrors of the deportation.
Never. Never. Never.
18.05.1944.
Unutmadıq.
Unutmaycaqmız.
Unuttırmaycaqmız.

It’s almost impressive how they ran it so badly into the ground surfaced for a bit and then went down again

the thing that makes xfiles truly truly transcendent is the way it is always showing us mulder & scully quietly observing and reacting to each other. if those two were even a little bit less obsessed with each other then it wouldn’t be as good. i’m not even talking about the romantic aspect of their interest. they are just fascinated by each other. they will never close the gap of fully and completely understanding each other but they will strive for it for eternity and that’s what makes them so good
