@cobraanaconda is on break this week, but I finished an old sketch during my spare time✌️ This was supposed to be a shot taken by a friend after Finn and Noel had a night out… But with how the story has evolved, Finn ended up as the “lone wolf” type. It kinda feels like a lost scene😇

Finally got it done… It’s just a few pages, but it took way longer than expected. So exhausted🫠

Anyway, as for the next update… I’m aiming for sometime next month instead of next Thursday. I’ve got other stuff to finish by mid-March, so the next update will likely come after that💪

Short Break 002: (Chibi Characters + Sketches)

This time, it’s a bonus episode featuring chibi illustrations of Finn and Noel in their daily lives! These are part of the mini character illustrations that were previously released in high resolution & early access on Ko-fi.

I really thought I’d make it in time this week… I was so sure I could slide in before the Friday…! I had made a lot of progress, but with four pages still left to finish, I had to admit that completing them in a few hours was physically impossible… so I had to give up this time.

So, here we are—another bonus episode. And right at a cliffhanger too, which makes it all the more frustrating…!

Now, back to Ko-fi for a moment. I know this sounds a bit like a promo, but… I haven’t been able to update Ko-fi as much as I’d like! The weekly schedule for the manga is already tight, and regular exclusive content updates have been tough to maintain.

Given the current situation, I’m planning to offer a small reward to those who support me for a total of 12 months or more. Specifically, I’d like to draw sketch-style commissions similar to the one in the last image of this post.

Did you know? Twix was originally called ‘Raider’ in Germany until 1991. A friend of mine told me about this—I didn’t know until then! I was so inspired by this piece of history that I added it to the story. In this episode, Luca gives Finn a Raider with a Mars-style logo as a nostalgic little twist. 🍫✨

I thought it would be fun to base some of the story’s details on real things you can find in Berlin.

Chapter 1 : Part 004 - Cobra Anaconda

Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you plenty of joy and memorable moments!

I’ll be continuing the slow but steady updates for Cobra Anaconda this year, and I’d be so grateful if you’d stick around and keep following along. 😊

By the way, Noel’s last name, Hiiragi, is a bit of a pun. 👼 “Noël” means “Christmas” in French, and hīragi refers to holly in Japanese—the spiky leaves often used in Christmas wreaths.

Here’s a fun little trivia tidbit: “Hīragi” is actually an incredibly rare surname in Japan, even though it pops up all the time in manga and anime.

As for Noel himself, while his surname is Japanese, he’s only a quarter Japanese. The rest of his heritage is a mix of European and either Middle Eastern or South Asian ancestry—a loose setup for now, but I’m still ironing out the details.
