The maxcleod things for me is that it’s so fun that for all tense and purposes they should swap roles. Max privately educated and rich should be playing the low level clever 6 steps ahead character and Oelthra granddaughter of the adventurer of all tm and daughter of two combat ready sovereign citizens should be the one going to blood lust and taking wild risks, grappling with the (so far) big bad. But it’s not! These two are both obsessed with adventure and longing for something more than where they were raised! And they both do it in a way completely antithetical to how they were raised
