Hey mate, just wanted to thank you for creating the Valkyria Chronicles Texture Extractor/Replacer tool! I've used it to tweak some textures in game but recently I've been using it to extract assets so I can create a physical copy of the "On The Gallian Front" book. I know it was a long time ago but just wanted to ask If you ever came across the font file for the game (for the text written in the book)? Thanks again mate!
I can’t remember ever stumbling upon the font file for the game. A lot of games handles fonts differently. Some game store it in truetype format and some game store it as a texture. I think the former is becoming more common, but considering Valkyria Chronicles’ age I assume it’s stored as a texture somewhere.

Evolution of designs of Mitsurugi and Sophitia from SE to SC6
Made these collages as a way to compare the character designs and how they're rendered in each game.

Mitsurugi's design is pretty much SC1 with his pants from SC4. Even his face has the exact same expression as his SC1 artwork.
If you compare Mitsurugi's ingame look in SC5 and SC6 you can tell they're using an extremely similar body mesh and textures. If you compare his right arm you can see it looks the same down to specific details like the blood veins.
Sophitia's design is pretty much SC1 with the top being a merge of the tops from SC1 and SC4. In her ingame screenshots, you can tell her face is almost identical to the one from SC4 with one notable change: she's happy now!

I’m sure everyone woke up this morning thinking “How did the mirror technology change in Black Desert since the game became playable?! How can I learn this?”
Well, worry no more! Here we see mirror rendering technology from KR closed beta 2 (April 2014), to KR closed beta 3 (September 2014), and to now (July 2017).
We can see it transformed from an impressive flat surface with zero detail, to a very blurry reflection map of the environment, and then finally to a very blurry reflection map of the environment. Incredible!

Black Desert screenshot health bar scanning tool
Not sure what I should even call this tool, but this is something I made to help automate damage tests with different gear. I'm releasing it in case other people would find it useful. I couldn't be bothered to create any UI, so it's a pure command line program. It works by finding the health bar on screenshots and outputting the health percentage. It might not be completely stable with screenshots from the latest version of the game as I haven’t updated it to work reliably with the new UI.
