trans women of color are basically not allowed to speak because being oppressed by the intersection of racialization and transmisogyny means that we have a lot to criticize about the behavior and norms of both tme bipoc, specifically our home communities, and white trans women.

when we do the former we are accused of corrupting our cultures or being more allied with white gay people than with our own people and when we do the latter ironically, yet unsurprisingly, the people who most vocally say that criticizing harmful behavior is not divisive accuse us of being divisive and of giving transmisogynists more fuel to attack us with.

racism is foundational to transmisogyny, as proven by the laws against crossdressing passed by colonial authorities, as well as genocides of tma people in indigenous cuktures, such as the spanish genocide of the "joyas" in california. our issues and the problems we face on a systemic level are not secondary to the efforts of antiracism and transfeminism, but are in fact at the heart of both, and it is only by listening to what twoc have to say about our lives and how we experience the world we live in that either movement will be able to enact anything close to its full potnetial.

honestly kind of baffling that more people do not flatly see the assertion that trans men can be lesbians as an expression of entitlement by those men and even more baffling that trans men who assert this are bolstered by terfs who assert that these men are confused women & therefore there is no entitlement at play. downright bewildering that neither side of this dynamic seems to actually care about the rhetoric of the other or at least if they do they care far less about that than they do about harassing trans women

i entirely do not give a fuck if men are getting their feelings hurt because one of them saw a lesbian or a woman with trauma say "i hate men" twice in one week or whatever. like are we for real serious. i'm going to say this in the nicest way possible : grow thicker skin & get over it.
