We are Migrating To DDSOS! 🌿🌻
Happy Tuesday, Beloved Hiphop Womanists, Hiphop Feminists, and Hiphop Abolitionist lovers of Black music!
Tumblr media
We hope this message meets you giving and receiving love because you deserve.
We are reaching out to share that after 10 years of micro blogging and macro blogging on Qualr, we are migrating to DDSOS.
Leaving Qualr is bittersweet, but is necessary for our growth as hiphop womanist journalists and digital cultural organizers.
Tumblr media
If you have gotten your life from our content, stay connected with us on DDSOS.
We will be able to send and receive "ask" (not chat box) messages on here through December 2022 as we organize the digital archive of the blog.
Beginning January 2023, we will only be able to receive and respond to messages thru the DDSOS website, digital mail(dmail), and social media.
Thank you for understanding and being an essential reader, hearer, and listener in our journey!
With the Spirits of Black Music,
Qualr Team (2012-2022)

Help a black trans woman fight breast cancer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Instagram. Tomorrow Valentino is a 50 year-old trans woman struggling with breast cancer. She can’t pay for treatment off of the sex work she does, so THC (Trans Housing Coalition) is asking for donations to her treatment fund. (Click the purple link for more info)

"Wearing a 'Peg the Patriarchy', 'Tax the Rich' [outfit] doesn't do anything for us," says Community Organizer—Ella Dior—as she speaks out against white capitalist power in an interview with Now This. "It's gonna take a lot of [financial, material] sacrifices."
This is one of Ella's latest interviews since being released from jail.
The NYPD, under the leadership of a Democrat mayor, governor, and president, arrested Ella and their accomplices during a peaceful protest outside of the MET Gala. Ella was taken to jail and kept there for 12 hrs during a global pandemic that has killed over 500,000 U.S residents in 1 year and 6 months. The NYPD and the NY city government recklessy endangered Ella's life to punish her for exercising her birthright to free speech. Tomorrow, the same Democrat governments will tell us that it is the Cuban government that is the real authoritarian government.
Ella was exercising her birthright to free speech because they refuse to go back to a white, colonial, capitalist "normalcy" of slavery, genocide, and ecocide. Ella refused to be a complicit bystander because they believe Black lives are sacred, Black communities matter, and we should love and support each other.
Major shout out to Ella, their protest accomplices, and everyone who shared resources and practiced financial solidarity to get them home safe. Please continue to share resources with bail funds, mutual aid groups, and direct actions if and when you can.
We have nothing to lose but our chains! ✊🏿🌺
