This somehow totally escaped my attention earlier this year.
This is totally new to me!
Newcastle Funnel-web Spider (Atrax christenseni), family Atracidae, found in an area north of Newcastle in NSW, Australia
VERY Venomous.
AKA "Newcastle Big Boy"
Formerly thought to be a subspecies of the Sydney Funnleweb Spider, it was elevated to species status in Jan. 2025.
