I like this shot of Rui on a rooftop from the movie a lot. It's clear that he's overlooking the Scramble Crossing, so with this much information it seems absolutely completely doable to locate the specific rooftop he's on. So I'm gonna try to doxx him.

Here's my best approximation of that view using google earth.

Above, the camera is positioned between these two fuckoff massive buildings, Shibuya Sky (left) and Shibuya Hikarie (right), which are also the only two in the right position. There aren't any buildings tall enough closer, and anything further would be blocked by them. If Rui's not on something completely made up for the shot, he's gotta be here.

Shibuya Sky has a public access observation deck on the roof, so it seems like a strong choice, but it's wayyy too fucking tall. It's a pain in the ass to find pictures from inside this place that overlook the crossing on any of the floors, so for the sake of my sanity let's try Shibuya Hikarie first.

This is a still from a video taken from somewhere around the 5th or 6th floor of Shibuya Hikarie. The view of the skyline is pretty similar here, at just about the right angle, but from too low a vantage point compared to the shot of Rui. We're getting close, but we need to go higher.

On the 11th floor of Shibuya Hikarie is located the Tokyu Theatre Orb. As you might guess, it's a theatre for the performing arts.

This is a still from a video that shows the view directly to the left of the above. As far as I can tell, there is no public access to the railing shown, there's windows in the way and the whole terrace is covered in plants, but it bears a really striking resemblance to the railing in shot of Rui above, and barring some changes in the skyline looks spot fucking on if I may say. There should of course be a wholeass building behind Rui in the second shot, and he shouldn't be able to access that railing at all, but obviously that wouldn't be as striking a visual as the blue sky, or if he were behind a window. I feel really comfortable in saying this is absolutely where he is, at the Tokyu Theatre Orb. Of fucking course he's at a theatre.

This image was taken a few years earlier than the above, and between the window frames you can see the skyline is even more spot on. Get fucking geolocated lollll

“Dark room”

An old-ish comic I made shortly before the new chapters’ release. I was thinking about how Kris’s room in castle town looked so much like their real room, and drawing from my own experiences and others about what darkness means to you as a kid. I was specifically drawing on the idea that “in the dark things start to look like other things, like monsters and stuff, and your imagination runs wild��� and so when that exact same idea was brought up days later in Ralsei’s ch3 exposition I went crazy.
