stormlight is especially great because there are so many series where I want to see my Characters suffering and dealing with issues in a Very Particular Way and wind up scrolling through ao3 to find stuff. but stormlight, it's all just there. the mental anguish, explored in depth. the slow talks and steps for healing. and none of it feels rushed, dragging, or out of place in this political worldbuilding mystery maelstrom. it's already written out for me--beautiful, emotional, and better than I could ever imagine.

BEST advice as a DM to keep your players on the track you want is to make sure that they feel like they are making choices and/or problem solving to advance the plot.

EX: Need to get your players somewhere? Just describe a fancy locked door. Or have an authority npc say “that area from before is now off limits." and watch them LEAP to head there. Hehe. DM, you are the ruler of little sheep…You own their minds and stor—no—wait what are you—you’re not supposed to fight her yet—no go back oh FUC--
